That goal effectively cost us £5M because we bought him on the back of that. He didn’t do much for us but he repaid some of it in the Spurs FA Cup game in 2004.

He received the ball in his own half and took on took on all the City team single handedly, ran the length of the pitch and then smashed the ball in to the top corner.

Magnificent goal and the whole ground applauded.

Completely agree that the whole ground was appreciative of that goal. As far as I know it wasn’t captured on any tv footage?
