As a general fan of youth development and the academy setup, this is the most exciting transfer in ages, IMO. Not the best player we'll sign, not the most high profile, not one that other teams will give two flying fucks about, but it's a transfer that means more than most. It's got a bit of heart to it and it's a really humble transfer, and I fucking love that. He's an academy lad that we rated, but felt he needed a bit of time away to grow, and we actually kept to our word that he'd come back to the club if he was ready. Love it.
No I don`t think he was born at St.Marys on Oxford Road.I'm just wondering if he's home grown...
Under no circumstance should he be allowed to eat the first team!!!Question is, are we bringing him back just to sell him on again for more profit, or are we planning on giving him a chance eat the first team?
Surely he must think the latter to agree to come back here?
Also, with cancelo incoming I am now sure walker will be a centre back for us too now.
On reflection I agree. Maybe Luke Shaw isn't the example he should be following.Under no circumstance should he be allowed to eat the first team!!!
Yes and club trainedI'm just wondering if he's home grown...
Someone said one of his mistakes will lead to a goal, well he hasn't lost a game yet so he is not making serious mistakes is he,they all make some mistakes as they are humanLove Zinchenko, and can't wait to see him lock down left back this season, but the idea that he hasn't made mistakes as he's been learning the position (some pretty big) is ridiculous.
Probably 12. Did we get 6m from his sale and thus the confusion is about the net number? How much is it costing us to bring him back ? Only reason I ask is I could have sworn I seen it on here at £12mill but also on the bbc sport website at just short of £6 mill..
I’d imagine Zinchenko will become an all round utility player. Comfortable in several positions and still key to the squad.
Loving this transfer if it comes off.
Let’s see how the media and press spin this the ****s.
Discarded player crawls back"Pep left redfaced over Mendy: City make embarrassing mistake and forced to take back exiled youth player."
Been saying all season we should bring him back tbf.Well funny how excited we all are about Angelino returning. A transfer no one thought about, not expensive, but has really captured most people’s imagination. I hope his game kicks on again (especially defensively) and he can be a real asset for us.
Anyone got any links to old interviews he’s done about us? Sure he’s only ever said good things.
