Barça president is there until 2021. He is going all in to win a CL and cement his legacy. They also want to make a push before Messi decline.
I'm not a fan of selling one of your best players, let alone your very best player in this case, to get several goodish players.
Coutinho is no fool but he is not the top player he has been branded before. He was a problem to fit tactically at Barcelona and only really worked at Liverpool so far. Neymar was very good as a winger, very good as a 10, very good as a 9 1/2. And Coutinho doesn't even make it up by being a defensive powerhouse like the other Liverpool offensive players. For example, i would prefer getting a Firmino in my team rather than a Coutinho. He would be very good to play with Mbappé upfront.
Selling Neymar will not be a good deal for PSG (unless he is injured non stop at Barça) but the player wants to leave. We will have to do our best out of that bad situation. Today, ESPN with good reporters Moises Llores and Laurens said Barcelona think a 200 M + Coutinho offer would be accepted by PSG. This kind of offer seems to be around the fee PSG is asking for Neymar.
If I were PSG, I’d look at cashing in on Neymar & Cavani and bring in Mane & Salah. Liverpool’s owners would take £110m a piece for them.

I get second-hand embarrassment from this. Hell, here not even small teams would do something like that. I understand the usual "goodbye and good luck" post from the club, or paying tribute to the player's achievements if it's a club legend who's leaving.
This though, it's like they're Barça's second Twitter account.

Saw reports Bayern are trying to take him next season on a free, and have already agreed terms.
Would make sense since there hasn't been any notable bids for him, last interest was from Liverpool.

Atletico Madrid is angry with Barça because the latter not only discussed transfer with Griezmann during their season (and allegedly reached an agreement days before loss at Juventus Turin stadium) but also asked for a split payment method while clause is supposed to be paid in one lump sum.
Atletico has even said that if they had proofs of this agreement between Barça and Griezmann they would have asked for the previous clause of 200 M€ to be paid.
For the time being and in absence of an agreement between the clubs, they have asked Griezmann to be present for the pre season with Atletico.
Realistically, they still need the money after the Joao Felix transfer.

It will still happen but they are just playing this up a bit more. Because the information is released to public and it does not look good on Atleti that their star player was contacted as early as February to sort out a deal. It is only right they 'act' angry to show they do not accept this behaviour, very normal for any club to do in the situation.
It is also impossible that such a big agreement was struck and no one at Atletico knew. Plus it is no crime in having terms agreed with individual prior to bidding or paying the clause. Lot of clubs do that, even before the window opens.
