James Clark Maxwell for me, the guy was an absolute genius on the same scale as Newton, even Einstein was in awe of him, but is generally not that well known.

Shout out for ...

Alexander Graham Bell, did a lot more than just the telephone including fibre optics and the hydrofoil.
