Flight to China cancelled again!

So we are back to moaning about pre season tours abroad again I see
Too right we are. If you could draw up a plan to have the players in the absolute worst condition possible come the start of seasons, football pre-season joke tours would be exactly that.

They spend as much time on planes and coaches than they do actually training, thousands of miles of travelling, jet lag, probably not getting good sleep because they’re trying to sleep at night somewhere when it’s the middle of the day our time, training on shit pitches, playing on shit pitches... all while we have an amazing training facility in Manchester, better than anything we’ve ever been to on a pre-season tour.

If you told a boxer training for a fight or a rugby team or American football team that’s what their pre-season would be their fitness coaches, physios and Doctors would laugh at you for an hour, then when they remember what they were laughing at they’d laugh a bit more.

They were probably glad of two nights extra at home but it will impact on pre-season. Arriving Tuesday morning and still an onward journey so little or no time to get
ready for the match. The wise thing to do would be to treat this game almost exclusively as a training session even if we get "hammered" in the process. Given that a lot of the party are only a couple of days into training and given the circumstances should not be risked, I would expect to see all the young lads to get at least an hour on Wednesday.
That’s what all pre-season games are.

Coming up to noon in AD and they are still there according to Flight radar :(
Could it be that the permits to land that plane in Shanghai never actually came through, so they flew to AD and hopped on one of Etihad's flights instead? Might explain why that plane is still sat at AD airport and there's photos of City staff in the AD departure lounge.
