If they fall short, their American owners should get a lot of criticism. They seem to be in it for the money, rather than the glory.

That squad as it is is dmagerously reliant on 3 forwards for goals and assists. There must be a high probability of injury / decline in form with the amount of football they've played.
Typical American owners once they have a bit of success they hold off on spending until they have no other choice but to spend some serious cash. It wouldn’t surprise me if one of their big names is sold until they heavily invest again.

I just heard that Liverpool came top in a poll of Sunday Mirror readers as the sexiest fans in the Premier League.

Some people might say that merely damns them with faint praise. But let’s be fair, you can’t really argue against the permanence of their iconic hair styles and tashing good looks.

Interesting how he didn't include Utd in the 4 teams who spend as they please.
F*ng cock he is.
Did he forget to mention that Dippers and Rags have a higher wage bill than us ?

Its a an insurance policy as an excuse when they fail to beat us in the league again.

Liverpool/Klopp is recieving criticism about the lack of spending, after last year's spending spree. But FSG business strategy is completely different from that of (for example) Manchester City.

Like he said, it's not really criticism, is just stating a fact.

City Football Group use Manchester City to spear head a long term strategy for global domination, and their business strategy go beyond Manchester City. They see no problem investing large amount of money now, with the potential of a much higher reward in the future. FSG is using a different strategy with much less risk taking and no other ambition than to make the individual company (Liverpool FC) grow.

What I would take offense to, if I was a City fan, is to be grouped together with PSG. PSG is a really strange project while City Football Group are on target to achieving their very ambitious goals.
Your talking absolute spinning shite. The truth is simple and it's this...

City reinvest all their money back into the team while your owners pocket yours.

Everyone jokes about the Coutinho money but without it it would be obvious to everyone how much fsg pocket.

With, of course, the implication that their shortcomings will be all down to our financial ‘malfeasance’.
Klopp didn’t come up with this all by himself, there will have been messages passed down from above.
I’m sick to death of explaining the facts to assorted fans of other clubs, but I think it will go on for a long time yet.

Spot on. Was ‘discussing’ City winning the league with one of my rag brother-in-laws’s just after they’d signed van Persie. His view was that City had done utd a favour by winning the league the previous season as it meant they had to buy a world-class striker. Until we became a threat, the last time they’d done that was with van nistlrooy.

He commented - in a very matter of fact way and with no rancour, that Arabs are prepared to spend their money whereas Yanks will only do it if they have to.

Liverpool spent big last year because they had to - as they have recently won the UCL they think they can rest on their laurels for now. Revenue for the scum increased again last year and woowar was on record saying that they didn’t need to win trophies to do this - much to the chagrin of thee bbc business reporter.

Long may these business philosophies continue!

He is just becoming pathetic in continually referring to the spending of other clubs.

Dippers have spent plenty to get where they are , and chucking huge wages about too.

He's always having a dig at City because despite the CL win, he hasn't managed the PL , and the dippers will likely have to get past City again this season.
Bitterness and jealousy are typical dipper traits coupled with entitlement , and Klopp is the perfect manager because he buys into the cult ethos.

Poor old Liverpool, not a penny to rub together despite winning the Champions League. Maybe they should put a stall on the Pier Head and sell candles and house bricks to raise money.

(EDIT) Updating an old favourite:

There's a hole up in the ceiling
And the Anfield Road is leaking
Jurgen Klopp has got no money
Feeds the team on bread and honey
What are we living for?
To see the Scousers in Division Four.

It's tiresome but he's obviously getting in his excuses early. City did spend big before, yes, but there not in the same brackets as Barca, Real and PSG when it comes to throwing cash about now.
Those 3 clubs are irrelevant anyway, he was only interested in referring to City to suggest that, if they fall behind City again its because they can't compete financially.

But it isn't stating a fact is it? City cannot "spend constantly".

Klopp knows exactly what he's doing here, i.e. stirring up the antagonism towards us and it isn't the first time that he's done it. Klopp was likeable for a long time, weird but likeable. But in the past year or so his behaviour has become more and more ****ish/cultish by the week.

The German ken Dodd can't do a press conference without mentioning us. He is sounding more like wenger everyday, we kept him in a job for years as he would just blame Arsenal's short comings and lack of investment in the tranfer market on city's financial power ( doping) whilst he got payed huge bonuses for his astute tranfer policy of selling off his best players to his premier league rivals. You keeping making up excuses Jurgen and we will keep hovering up the trophies!

It seems very strange that Klopp makes his bleating statement about City being able to spend what they want, totally ignoring the fact that the dippers and other cartel members forced UEFA down the line of FFP which deliberately RESTRICTS our spending !

And Herr Klopp is not a hypocrite ?

Fucking shitty pathetic club, supporters and now manager - the full set of cnuts.

They had a pretty good season to be fair but: If Mahrez had scored a penalty and Pickford and Loris not thrown one in, Rico not dropped the ball at Fulham and then given a penalty away, the linesman at Newcastle not fallen for a blatant dive to give them a free kick as well as them playing against Speroni, the oldest PL player last season and only winning 4-3), they might have only got 86 points. If Sergio scores a penalty at WHL, or Spuds equaliser is disallowed or Sterling’s goal stands, they might have won nothing and finished at least 14 points behind us.
I think they might well finish in the top three but they’ll not be anywhere near as close to us as last season.
I don't think 97 points could ever be objectively described as "pretty good".

Why do you even bother?
