This puts paid to the adage that players will go where ever they're paid the most. Bullshit.
Like many industries, ambition and success is king. Sure, money will lure some, particularly at certain stages in their careers. Generally speaking though, top players in or around their prime largely want to be associated with a club that has the biggest chance of winning - something that tends to be forgotten in the contemporary game sometimes.
