Another new Brexit thread

You've liked many a gif, when it suits your purpose. You deride gifs that "attack" your position. I've noticed you doing it and roll my eyes whenever you come out with comments like this. That's hypocrisy. This is the way of all memes. Discrediting them as being "the lowest form of debate" shows you're failing to see memes for what they are: statements presented in a new format to be interpreted. Like political cartoons in a newspaper, some can be very clever.

People say the same about sarcasm being used in debate. You're on a football forum, not newsnight. Discrediting one form of expression to demean another person's argument? It's snobbery.

Well yeah, evidence is kind of important, don’t you think? If you accuse someone of something then at least show evidence.

I have absolutely no idea what “like” you’re referring to and to be honest it sounds like you’ve made it up.

I’ve posted over 13,000 times on the forum and liked probably double the amount of posts of that. Your accusation that I know the thread I last did like a meme was removed is probably a compliment toward my memory more than anything.

I’ve not liked any gifs, to the best of my knowledge that are in response to a serious question, that’s the trouble here. It’s not gifs in the general off topic forum, it’s gifs in this thread, where you and your mates cannot respond to the point so just stick a picture up.

That’s what ruins the debate. I’m not saying we should ban them from the whole of Bluemoon and sometimes they serve a purpose of humour but it’s all about context and often, the same 3/4 people on here use them to ruin the debate or negate being held to account with their posts.

I can't show "evidence" because the thread is gone and you know it is.

Are you insinuating i'm lying about seeing you like memes and gifs in the past now?

You must have a selective memory then if you suddenly cannot recall any gifs you've liked in the past that ridiculed brexit or public brexit supporters on here.

If you have an issue interpreting the meaning and context behind the gifs and memes posted on here that's on you, but you clearly don't as, as I've pointed out, you clearly appreciate a good meme sometimes.

Look, the thing is if you accuse someone of something it’s on you to show evidence.

I don’t care if you’re a liar or not to be honest but it’s convenient for you to paint a picture without evidence.

So either show a post I’ve liked a meme or gif, that’s being used to not answer a serious question or to stifle debate, as others do, or fuck off.

It’s that simple.

Right, I can never take anything you say from now on with any integrity if you insist on defending your position that you have never, ever like someone's gif or meme on this subject before.

You have done, i've seen it with my own eyes, and you are hiding behind the fact I cannot show that to you that you have because the thread where you did is now removed, as well you know. That's cowardice, mate, so yeah, i'll take your advice and "fuck off" if you insist on being this disingenous.

Never once referenced this thread in particular. Now it's my turn to ask for "evidence" that I ever specifically mentioned this thread.
