Not sure throwing off oppression and taking back control was on the referendum ballot paper? I'm assuming we'll just leave but still be oppressed and have no control.More likely we’ll get over the initial disruption within a few months, most people will be a bit poorer, will have to work a bit longer (if they have jobs) and pay a bit more tax to pay for the increase in unemployment. But everyone will be happy because we’ll have thrown off the yoke of EU oppression and will have taken back control.

There can be one reason and one reason only for toffs like Boris and Farage wanting Brexit, someway they will line their own pockets ..... also I wish Farage would just come out and say it ..... he hopes less brown skinned people will come in to the country ... I voted for Brexit based on false promises and bullshit, wish I could have that vote back

I understand your fear, but that's a little over dramatic imho - there are plenty of examples of failing states / civil wars etc from around the world, and I don't think the current or even possible post-brexit state of the UK bears any comparison. Some equally vivid imaginations on the remain side feel with equal conviction that remaining in the EU is just as problematic in but different ways.
Did that not include understanding previous restrictions on government policy? That would be normal in that role. After all, you can't give valid advice if you don't understand the constraints your clients are operating under.Not sure of the thrust here

I'm not intending to insult you or piss you off as you have put a lot of thought into you post which I do respect. The whole thing though is just a list of your opinions through the prism of a remain viewpoint. That's fine, but you seem to be trying to present your views as fact which is not the case. You may be right, you may be wrong - I suspect a little bit of both.The current U.K. Govt was voted in by around 140,000 to pursue a ‘no deal’ policy for which it has no popular mandate and is at odds with the Parliament elected by the people in 2017 and is contrary to its own internal advice. It also fails to represent the people of Scotland, Wales and NI. If the effects of its own policy of a no deal Brexit are so benign then I would assume they will be rushing out a detailed report demonstrating how this is the case. Perhaps they can call it ‘Operation Yellow Unicorn’. I am sure the EU will welcome such a report given it will allay their own concerns although it may make the U.K. Govts stark warnings on the impact of no deal on the EU somewhat redundant.
A failed State is one where its political system is no longer in control or able to influence events. We lost control of the Brexit process when we triggered A50 with no comprehension of what we were doing or it’s inevitable consequences. We are on our third PM since 2015. The Govt has no effective majority. It cannot legislate for fear of defeat. It seeks to govern by Ministerial diktat ie looking to close our borders on 31st October when we neither have the resources or the manpower to do this. We will insist our fishing waters will be sacrosanct yet we don’t have the vessels to ensure that this diktat be implemented. We insist there will be no negotiations until our demands are met and then a few weeks later hotfoot over to European capitals for ‘talks’. The U.K. Govt is literally a YouTube downfall parody with State propaganda releasing clips of ministers signing worthless pieces of paper proclaiming triumphantly that the Brexit Masterplan is on course and the sunlit uplands are just around the corner.
No deal isn’t Brexit. No deal is the consequence of a failed State that has surrendered to forces that have overwhelmed it.
And you still think Brexit is a good idea?I agree that one of the more worrying aspects of brexit is that it clearly benefits Farage, BJ, JRM and the like. I personally am not in that financial or social demographic and I doubt many of us are. I'm not sure brexit will effect the immigration of brown people to the UK, as my understanding is that by regaining control of borders with the EU we only probably restrict the movement of the largely white indigenous EU population and not non-EU brown people. I'm sure Farage is able to work out that brown people tend to come from elsewhere, and a lack of skilled EU migrants may mean we get more?
