What he meant to say was that's not how they operated between 1986 and 2013 which is obviously what defines that club even though they have existed for over a hundred years.

Do keep up kaz ;-)
Since Busby went, Ferguson apart, I can't imagine their average length of managerial appointment is much more than two years.

Great result yesterday. I thought they would do much better. Ole clearly well out of his depth.

Someones on the caf taking the piss - own up :)

Serious question......

Is there anything to said for a team to be rewarded a "half a goal for hitting the post"

Would make games more interesting and rewards players like Rashford for hitting a worldie off the post.

In most cases hitting a post is harder to do then scoring a goal. Anyone who has attempted the crossbar challenge will agree with this.

Apart from Busby and the GPC why do all their managers turn to sh1te?

Edit:- apart from the paper boy who was sh1te anyway.

Yeah that seems pretty accurate guess.

If you sort the table by number of games here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Manchester_United_F.C._managers#Statistics
And discount Ferguson, Busby, Mangnall, the temps and the across World War manager's, the average, from a quick visual check, looks about 2-3 years worth of games.
The overall data is massively skewed by 2-3 managers across about 1/3 of the lifetime of the club.

Looks like they have a pattern, they get a decent manager with a gap of about 20-30 years between tenures. So 2033 is when they are potentially 'back' to the 'United way'.

For balance:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Manchester_City_F.C._managers#Managers
Taking out the temps etc, then it's an average of about an average of 2-3 years tenure worth of games as well.

/me awaits some disproval of visual averaging by someone with even more OCD.
