That does seem odd when they are the majority. Too many of them vote for the toffs' party - the party of the few.
Both main parties are the parties of the toffs. One is slightly more honest about that than the other but be in no doubt, the party of Nye Bevin that gave us the NHS is now the party of the gangster CEO class. The party that gave us free education from 4-21 for all is now the party of the millionaire french agri-corps that are paid millions in working people's taxes in order to leave fields empty. The party of the unions is now the party of big business and has sided with big business's request for the ocean of cheap, unprotected, unlimited and instantly replaceable labour to remain open, destroying the effectiveness of collective bargaining. The party of anti-racism is now the party at the vanguard of protecting the undemocratic organisation that stands by and ignores the thousands of brown skinned Africans drowning on Mediterranean shores.
Those with the least now officially have nobody standing up for them . They are at the mercy of vulture capitalism.
Dangerous times.
