It's only 2 points

We've 6 in the bag from when we beat those ****s.

:)

If we ignore current luck and a couple of really terrible displays would anyone call the following results totally outlandish

Rags v dips 0-0 bore fest
dips v Harry Kane FC 1-2 (kane pen 95 hopefully :-))
dips res v arsenal res 1-3
Villa v Dips 0-3
dips v city 2-4

Assuming that City don't repeat wolves\norwich horror shows that's their lead blown and out of a cup by mid November , Now I know its unlikely all results could pan out that way, but its an illustration that none of those outcomes is as outlandish as city losing to Norwich & wolves yet the hyperbole from the dippers is that its not surmountable is clearly bollocks. they have not played like like a team that could have won 8 on the spin this season but have fluked their way to it.

its far too soon to be throwing in the towel like some of the flappers on here are doing.

If they hammer the rags, spuds, villa and us, whilst we drop points at palace and against villa & Southampton then I might join the flappers.

Exactly!!! The way some have thrown in the towel already is a joke.... Yes we have been poor at times, and yes we may not win the league this year. However with this teams history of coming from behind and our ability to ‘fight to the end’, it just strikes me as a bit weak. We cannot just walk to the title every year. We have a fight on our hands but we get to see how great we are. With 30 games left and nearly 8 months of football to go anything can happen. I am certainly not ready to concede the title just yet

I can only think of one PL title we won at a canter? The rest we were like a stalking horse to the leaders and pounced at the last minute.

Yes mate exactly. Can change very quickly and a fact that doesn’t seem to get the credit it deserves is our 14 consecutive victories to bring the title home last year is unbelievable

Of our six titles, four have been won on the last day of the season.

Only 1936/37 and, of course, 2017/18, were won before the final match and in '37, we only won by three points. I think we won the league with one game to spare.

What the f**k are stalking horses ;-) I am in stitches trying to get a mental picture of stalking horses.

Chris Kirkland has already said liverpool have won the title though

It's happening again, same as last season, only this time it's a lot earlier. Last season Liverpool won the 7 points ahead in December trophy and everyone declared them champions. This season its the 8 points lead in October trophy and they're being declared champions.

Store all this in the memory banks for next May.

I believe 'Berk' comes from Berkshire Hunt which is known in cockney rhyming slang for c**t. Thus, shortened to Berk.

Maybe I am wrong and someone might enlighten me :)

Also Berkeley! The Berkeley Hunt. Most Cockneys would pronounce it so that it rhymed with 'work' and so 'berk'. I believe there are a lot berks down Bootle!
