I don't think people fully understand how shit this deal is. If this goes through we have just over 12 months to sort out a trade deal or everything falls away. 12 months in which we will get screwed by the EU and come out the other end a much poorer nation. The idea the tories are nearly home and dry is way far of the mark. This is just the begging of brexit and it gets really shit from here on - the next stage is where the real damage will be done.

Are you sure? I'm sure from the reports Brexit will be officially 'over' on Saturday? Are you telling me the hard part of agreeing trade deals as a much smaller economic entity is yet to come?

With NI fucked off it makes no deal or a very limited trade deal much easier politically. So yes the ERG will take this as the NI problem was a massive barrier to crashing out. Without NI they can be as reckless as they want.

Will parliament not have a say on any future FTA then?

So what is the aim?

Independence or more devolution that allows the SNP to keep their rhetoric but still on the teat of the rest of the UK with a bit more power handed over?

They say one thing but much like Corbyn wanting a GE every day for 3 years, when offered he gulped and said no thanks.

There is a small political window for the SNP here and they need to think how much do they really want independence because supporting the government tomorrow and inserting a ref and NI type deal down the line as a condition is a smart move politically.

Look its a thought and the government might say fuck off but it helps Boris and i could see it being a flyer.
Two different things Im not talking about what their tactics to achieve a referendum should be. I’m talking about if there is no independence with or without a referendum then Scotland or Wales so might Cornwall or Northumberland,as part of the UK might well want the same preferential treatment of a foot in both camps as NIreland is being offered. After all to quote the DUP why should one part of the UK get different treatment to another.

That's the new 'hard part' after the 'impossible' renegotiation of the deal.

Why do you think the ERG will vote in favour ?

Because they can see a no deal Brexit at the end of 2020.

If this passes tomorrow that's it we are fucked.

Singapore on Thames here we come.

This is there only chance of Brexit.

Why wouldn’t they be against being out the SM and CU but trading freely with Europe?

The only negative for them is NI but they’ve practically got what they want.

Not if the tories can help it. All hypothetical but assuming this goes through then I would imagine a GE before 01/2021. So whoever wins that - and i would assume tories win a majority if this goes through - then they get to call the shots. With a majority the tories can and will do what they want.

The deal being passed tomorrow ensure the survival of one nation Tories and the party.

No tomorrow and all bets are off.

They will become a party where a majority is the ERG and they will win the GE and a majority imo so yes, who knows what sort of FTA they would want and if they didn't get it then.....?

Lets get the deal voted through tomorrow i say and a FTA agreed that parliament can pass.

I have and would call it a con. I wouldn't call it elaborate. It was fairly base level bigotry and lying that got it over the line.
I can't agree with people who say it was all about the lies... who actually believes anything that a politician tells them? The choice of leave / remain was as basic as it gets

We made the decision based on a gut instinct because we absolutely didn't know what leave meant... we still don't

Speak for yourself - I know it's shit.

Brexit is a strange world.

Letwin trying to play games now that would mean no vote on the deal tomorrow as his vote earlier will provisionally accept the deal but only with an extension asked for.

The EU27 might save the day for the government by saying no as its becoming clear they want an end to it all and they see no real possibility anymore that brexit will ever be ditched either by revoking or a second ref so time to get on with it.

Where does the deal say that workers rights will be damaged? Is because the point has been moved into a non-binding section of text? Maybe I'm being naive but doesn't the deal put those worker's rights in the hands of the people? Why would they be affected therefore?
I'm in agreement

Assuming all that, what concessions are the UK going to offer for a FTA?

If I was in the UK tbf I'd be slightly worried at the demise of Labour in Scotland and the free hand that seems to have given the Tories, who are taking neoliberalism to ridiculous levels.
Labour shot themselves in the foot by creating devolution and giving the nationalists a platform for their extremism.

I hate to point out the obvious, but if another party were to win more seats than them, then it wouldn't be true.
Of course, but I've already explained that Labour's starting point was to be 56 seats behind, and that was when the polls were neck and neck. Not the -15 points Labour are sitting at at the moment. They've a mountain to climb and right now, only equipped with a sledge.
