I agree that adequate time must be given for proper scrutiny of the bill. Most important thing in the Letwin amendment though is ensuring that we can’t crash out without a deal further down the line.The Letwin amendment on the face of it is reasonable enough for say a month to properly debate the agreement but what it shouldn't be is a stalling one to allow others to then keep tabling amendments to ultimately get the deal overturned by any means they can find.
I could live with it with a proviso its the only amendment to be allowed and that at the end of the time frame the vote will go ahead as planned.
Another month is nothing if the EU said they would go with it for the same reason I've stated.
That said and lets be honest, 99% have made their mind sup on how they will vote so what does another month give them?

Not actually read the specifics of the amendment yet. Has Letwin specified an actual time frame?yeah i really dont have that much of an issue with it and i can actually see that Labour MP's could end up supporting the agreement if they are assured that no deal is finally off the table.
It has to be very time limited though and not an excuse for further amendments designed to just frustrate and i dont think the EU would allow time for that either.

He backs the deal himself, so you'd have to beleive his intention is good. Still, boris not getting his glory of delivering on time as promised will be enough for some.
