Hiya!
Well, today was eventful to say the least. Mane looked to dive and in fairness I'm glad he got a card. Was a bit embarrassing. He made up for it though. I haven't read all of this thread but does anybody think Firmino's goal in the first half should've stood? Ridiculous use of the tech. Atkinson having no clue what he was at. All in my opinion of course.
Ox takes a shot and it blasts off an outstretched hand, (unnatural position), in the box, albeit from close range, but nothing comes off it? Salah held back when through in the box, stays on his feet though, but nothing from that either. I'm not saying there should've been many penalties but I've seen them given. The Firmino offside was baffling! The use of the VAR technology REALLY has to come in to question. They appear to get it very right on the continent but not in the EPL. The best use I've seen of it would've been Bertrand getting sent off against Leicester.
Lastly, I think a few posters here have touched on this but Liverpool getting these late goals and then late late goals, (in Kloppage time :-D), you've got to question how much luck is really in it. Aston villa were under enormous pressure for the vast majority of the game trying to hold onto the lead. The equaliser came and there was another 8/9 minutes of pressure to soak up. It took a fantastic header by Mane to get the 3 points but there is a real winning mentality about the team now. (May end in 8 days)
