I thought some good news might be coming when Chelsea found out their CAS case was being heard on 20th November.

We'd still not heard about our CAS case despite it being lodged 6 months earlier.
We haven’t lodged anything with CAS. CAS will only adjudicate once a sanction/ban has been imposed and a club/person then appeals to CAS.

CAS wouldn’t make a judgement before any sanction handed down by UEFA. City can only go to CAS after UEFA impose sanction.

in the normal course of events but our present application to CAS is to adjudge the compliance of the ‘kangaroo’ process that was deployed by UEFA. I think we should wait for that judgement to be heard.

Manchester City 'to escape ban from Champions League' as UEFA prepare to admit defeat on FFP despite club's big spending and leaked emails
  • There had been a belief within football that Manchester City would be banned
  • But reports suggest that the Etihad Stadium side will instead receive a fine
  • It will come as a blow to the strength of UEFA's current Financial Fair Play system

and this is exactly why the club should not accept any form of punishment even a token fine as it will always be headlined as the club that cheated

Khaldoon did say he would rather spend 30 million on the 50 best lawyers in the world to sue UEFA than accept any sanctions
I really hope he meant any "guilty verdict" and "any form of punishment" and he doesn't come out with a politician's answer of "it's not a sanction, it's a small fine"

So UEFA could find us guilty and issue us with a fine
CAS could rule that the process wasn't undertaken correctly and dismiss the punishment, but City have been found guilty even though it faces no ban or fine

Again leaving us tarnished

Another misleading headline, this time from the Daily Express.

So both papers that routinely attack City, are at it again.

Man City to learn Champions League fate as UEFA decide punishment over FFP allegations
Manchester City are being investigated by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Board over allegations of Financial Fair Play breaches.

Someone should just message both the authors of those 2 articles you have posted and just say "mcfc will be in touch in due course"

Exactly.

For me, city can’t accept any sanctions, however small.

There has been reputational damage done merely by the accusations. The length of time this has taken has also allowed the media to run amok with stories of our guilt, causing more reputational damage.

City should give no quarter and accept nothing short of a full rebuttal from UEFA of the ‘evidence’ the source, and the criminal that stole the data. Followed by a sincere apology and assurances that in future they will use credible, verifiable sources for data, fully vetted, and will adhere to their own procedures and follow these to the letter when considering alleged breaches by member clubs...

Cnuts !!

We should counter claim for taking our club through the mud the last few years! I come to despise everything to do with every hierarchy football associations.

Unfortunately ex-PL and European Cartel Employees make up these investigating UEFA panels.

We are constantly fighting UEFA and their Cartel clubs.

I think if the process was seen to be ‘uncompliant’ with UEFAs own rules - that would be hugely embarrassing for them but they could repeat the process. I’m incredibly confident they have nothing on us - this is just uefa bending to the cartel.
