Haven't seen the bloody manifesto yet have we.I was quoting a BT spokesperson on the need for full broadband connectivity across the UK. I think it’s vital we have this and that we don’t have areas or communities cut off from the electronic economy. Can I ask what the Tory initiative is? Seem to recall Johnson promising full broadband connectivity by 2025. Any details on this?
No-one doubts the appeal of full fibre for all. No-one doubts the appeal of free education for all. Nor the appeal of a 4 day working week. Hell, why not 3 day.
The issue is of course one of affordability. Labour have not been in power for so long they have long since forgotten than things have to be paid for. Opposition can shout and moan and whine and say we'd spend more on X and more on Y and more on Z, without any fucking consequence becuase they don't have to actually DO anything. Being a nasty, shouty, obnoxious, protestor is easy. Actually running (not ruining) the country is a tad more tricky.
