I’d sit on the toilet to confirm it’s wind, just in case!Anyone else got a rumbling in their gut it’s almost time for us to fight back?
Maybe it’s just wind...
I don't think the "keep it in litigation forever" line works at this point either as a strategy or as a public comment. It's not clearing our name, and it makes people think we're guilty but just throwing our financial weight around in the courts to escape judgement.
We need the case to be closed and the ruling in our favour if we are in the right.
That's the beginning of the push back against the narrative that we flagrantly break rules. Then you have proof that a legitimate court says you're innocent and UEFA are running a kangaroo court.
Ami Winehouse? You’d think they could come up with better than that....What an absolutely disgraceful headline from the Daily Mail.
And you wonder why other fans latch on to headlines like this and hate City. Mainly United, Liverpool and Arsenal fans.
Manchester City 'to escape ban from Champions League' as UEFA prepare to admit defeat on FFP despite club's big spending and leaked emails
By AMITAI WINEHOUSE FOR MAILONLINE
- There had been a belief within football that Manchester City would be banned
- But reports suggest that the Etihad Stadium side will instead receive a fine
- It will come as a blow to the strength of UEFA's current Financial Fair Play system

On it's own it's bad news. Our appeal that the original process was flawed on the grounds of due process has been lost. But some reports are suggesting that UEFA will not be sanctioning City anyway so the appeal will be irrelevant. And if UEFA do sanction City, we can appeal again to the CAS.I'm a total layman on this subject so can someone spell out in simple terms where we're at please. If CAS have rejected our appeal isn't that bad news ? Does that mean UEFA can proceed against us as they initially planned before our appeal.

City wanted to put an end to the investigation, so they lodged an appeal with CAS
CAS today have said that the AC can deal with this matter as they (CAS), at the moment, have no grounds to make a decision
We are where we were a few months ago. Nothing has changed. City haven't been found guilty of anything yet
If it was as straightforward as that you'd think City's lawyers and CAS might have noticed at the outset. Presumably the club proceeded on the grounds that the IC decision had been accepted for adjudication together with the implication of guilt contained in that process. It has taken several months and a request from UEFA for this finding that after all - surprise, surprise - the AC has the power to reject the IC judgement on the grounds that no transgression of the rules has taken place.Yes, I think that's implicit in the name! It would make no sense if the AC couldn't reject something.
As ever, I’ll believe we’re off the hook when I see it, rather than place undue faith in what Sam Lee believes will happen. No disrespect to him, just that UEFA (and the old guard driving them on) are cnuts from the planet cnut, and capable of anythingWhat intrigues me is that people were calling this outcome the day we filed the appeal. So what took so long ? The optimist in me hopes that CAS sought the views of UEFA before opining and UEFA said there's no point in the appeal going aheadbecause we're not contemplating a punishment.
Trying to work out what those slippery fuckers are up to, though, is like trying to hold an eel by the tail.
Helpful clarification
Let us hope his report is accurate. UEFA should be watertight. These discussions are supposed to be confidential. If they have made a decision now, then why wait until December? Ratification?
Maybe they just line their judges up and take the business in order.
