Our corporation tax rate is one of the lowest in the OECD group of economically advanced countries. We have the lowest rate of corporation tax in the G7 group of leading nations. Even Labour’s increase to 26% would only put it slightly above the OECD average of 24%, and as the graph illustrates, it would be lower than any other current G7 rate.

Your noddy assessment and silly graph completely overlooks productivity rates and other factors influencing whether businesses wish to invest here. It's not as simple as saying our rates would still be OK at 26%.

I am still waiting by the way for your answer to my question, "Why do you think 172 Labour MPs to 40 voted to get rid of Jeremy Corbyn". What do you think? Whenever you're ready.

The point is how the revenues will be raised - no other country has anywhere near the destructive tax regime proposed by Labour for business here. In France and Scandinavia etc there are comparable levels of public investment to those proposed but the consequent heavy tax burden is borne by the whole population -if they did it the Labour way there would by no businesses left in those countries.
 
It's littered with gems their manifesto, "Labour proposes to equalise the tax treatment of income from dividends with other income by charging marginal rates equal to those in our income tax policy".

So people can choose the security of being a paid employee with all the protections Labour would impose on businesses. Or start or run your own little company with all of the risks that implies, and have absolutely ZERO financial incentive to do so.

That will go down well with small business owners.
 
Is there a single policy in the Labour manifesto that will boost small/medium sized businesses?

Genuinely would like to know as just read the headline policies for now and they all seem to punish businesses.

I never thought it would be this bad. The only thing I will give them credit for is they are not holding back, it’s all in there.

I haven't seen one.

Corbyn really has shown his true colours in this manifesto. His utter loathing of successful people is laid bare for all to see.
 
I see Boris has pulled out of the C4 leaders debate on Sunday. They never learn!

Although it is an hour where they’ll be no questions about Brexit, so no wonder the one trick pony has shat himself.

Don't forget that Labour's manefesto includes an inquiry that would also look at the “legal right of public interest defence for journalists”, the first stage of Labour imposing state control over the media - as all Marxist political parties do once they get into power.

Yes. The option of a second referendum and remaining in the EU. Positive news for businesses big or small. Will save billions and give us barrier free access to a European wide market which will be of crucial importance to the service sector.

Good to see a positive pro business proposal from Labour.
