tbf our last result was a bit of a downer
 
I was expecting to hear a lot more from our resident Corbynistas on here following the launch of the Labour manifesto today but I have to say it's been relatively quiet.

I think even they realise, deep down, what a joke it is, though I don't expect any admissions of this.

That’s it in a nutshell. This is by far and away the worst set of party leaders in my lifetime. I find the “all politicians are shit” line to be trite and thoughtless, but all the sensible politicians of all parties have been sidelined and dogma and bullshit have replaced intelligence and judgement.

Dear god. What happened? How did the lunatics come to take over the asylum? Theses will be written on this when we are all dead.

absolutely this - I cant recall a worse choice in my time, yes there’s been some real hum dingers in the past but two equally talentless/deluded leaders at the same time?

There are other parties to vote for other than Labour and Conservative. People will say "that's wasting a vote" "they'll never get in" but maybe a little political rebellion is exactly what we need! Especially when both main parties are looking unappealing!

We’ve had the hard left v hard right situation before, but the likes of Foot and Thatcher, for their many ideological faults, were bright and committed leaders with a genuine desire to change things. I never thought I’d hark back to the days of either, but fucking hell.

The country isn’t finished. Today’s youth will grow up, the old brigade will die off, and we will get back to sensible politics and government. But it’s a long way away at the moment and it’s genuinely frightening that Johnson and Trump got to become leaders of powerful western countries.

We got complacent.
