the fear is because they have a chance.

yet again the Tories doing a LETS ALL HIDE election campaign.
The election campaign is a shambles due to the mediah only bothering with leaders. We need to have debates between home, office, foreign office, environment, treasury spokesman. After all we elect a party to govern, not a president.

Quite. Incidentally, 50% of all cancer drugs come from the US.
And about 10% of our overall drugs consumption. So were we to double the prices paid for our drugs from the US, it would increase our drugs bill by £1.6bn a year. Not the £26bn claimed by Liar Corbyn.

Why?
It would be an utter waste of time, just as the leaders’ debates are except there’s every likelihood the cabinet ministers in post now won’t be in post a month after the election if they win.

Or we break contracts with British and European drug firms and buy all our drugs from the US and put UK workers out of jobs.

Missed this.

Since I have a brain, I can categorically say that the above tweet is unmitigated bollocks.
  1. US firms can ALREADY bid for NHS outsource contracts. Have we "sold the NHS" already some years ago? No.
  2. US firms ALREADY supply us with drugs. Have we "sold the NHS" some years ago? No.
  3. We would in any event not award additional contracts UNLESS IN OUR INTERESTS to do so.
  4. Even if they were able to bid for more work, or more drugs supply, then that does not mean the NHS Is "up for sale".
  5. The government PAYS third parties for drugs and services. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, Mark, you utter moron.
  6. The tweeter is a complete imbecile at best.

Fuck me pal you have it bad.

Given you are so sure of yourself why don't you pull him up directly instead of confining yourself to this relative backwater.

The world is waiting for some chippy wisdom.

If Johnson gets in the trend for an increasing proportion of the NHS budget will be spent externally and thus the cost to the taxpayer will rise exponentially.

Cue - we can't afford this, we need to move towards private healthcare.

The Tory vote is not crumbling at all. It is very slowly increasing due to Brexit party voters realising that if the Tories don't win. Brexit won't happen.
It is the Lib Dem vote that is crumbling. I can only presume because for those who are moving to Labour it is Remain or bust. Probably Remain AND bust if Labour actually win.
The Tory lead I said not the vote, down to just 6-9% now.

Jeez. Put the tinfoil away. Labour cannot do all the stuff they promised so they will do some of the stuff they promised. Some of it they will do well, some of it not so well just like any other administration. Labour have already laid out the proposed tax increases and the increased borrowing which would put us into mid table of European countries.

Fact is this country needs public investment. NHS, Social care, infrastructure, even the armed forces. It also needs a better geographical spread of investment. All this bollocks about controlling banks or confiscating your house is a waste of everyones time. Labour have an incoherent plan and the Tories have no fucking plan except no doubt to blame everything on immigrants and the EU.

Pick a plan or do what sane and very nice people do and vote Green .

To be fair Gove tried his best to get in on one................it was a piss funny effort too - real laugh

Evidence you want is it? I know, I know - he was only joking....

I think not, you know McDonnell's plans my friend. The Labour manifesto is just a pile of undeliverable promises - growing by the day. Already four times the cost of the 2017 variety which was itself based on ruinous borrowing. It's designed to fool the public into allowing his Marxist experiment with this country's future by deceiving them into believing only the rich will pay for a utopian spending spree. Shame on anyone who supports those lies.

Much more measured certainly falsifiable is it because he used the M word? Have you not got the bit where he vows to smash the capitalist system?
The words I took from that were systematic change you see that as a road to a totalitarian state I beg to differ.....shame on me eh?

and how do think he proposes to change the capitalist system?
"In this blog, Labour’s Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell considers the uses of this ever-changing, multiplicitous party, asking what is the Labour Party for?
What is the Labour Party for? This has been the question at the centre of the party’s history since the first trade unionists and progressives came together to discuss whether an independent political party to represent working people should exist at all. The question has focused on whether the Labour Party is a party of social reform aiming simply to ameliorate our existing capitalist society, or a reformist party that seeks to replace capitalism by incremental social reform, or a transformative, some would say revolutionary party, aiming at the radical replacement of the existing economic and social system." https://www.plutobooks.com/blog/what-is-the-labour-party-for-john-mcdonnell/

Seems a good a place as any to put this
I posted this yesterday
Births falling - deaths rising - Tories to blame?
Number-of-live-births-and-deaths-per-year-graph.png

It was a joke btw - but you will notice the low point in the birth rate was during Labour's winter of discontent and it also coincided with the peak in the death rate.
