Do you think that Corbyn is about to step down.. he suggested in a recent interview that he’d stay as leader regardless of the GE result
He might say that - I think that he will be phased out once Momentum have gotten their newer/younger model ready and ensured that the vote will got their way - RLB?

To be honest, I am so disillusioned with politics at the moment that I might consider breaking the habit of a lifetime and vote @Labour IF they had a more centrist approach and crucially a new front bench...

It would be nice also to be told that we'll all pay more tax to improve services instead of the BS being peddled about the top 5%

Now now, that's not quite true, is it? During Chavez's term oil prices skyrocketed, so his government could afford to share the wealth with its people having the world's biggest oil reserves, even now. But, after his passing the oil prices dropped and Maduro didn't adjust towards the new change and as Venezuela only had its currency in oil, this is where it went wrong.

McDonnell recognises this and this is what he references to in that video clip about 'made a few mistakes'.

We do not have oil reserve currency, so that's not going to affect anything, but the principle of wealth distribution remains the same. Contribution to raise the standard of the nation and its people.
Chavez nationalised everything he looked at, trying to pin the results on that on falling oil prices is ludicrous, there are
dozens of non socialist oil producing countries that have not ended up like the one with the largest reserves on earth.
I know telling you this is futile, you are of the belief that socialism is the way to go without a single instance of it being so,
in fact, the opposite to success ensues.
We can only hope your politics doesn't come to pass, and thankfully, it's looking like it won't.

The Parliament was the result of the 2017 election. On 22nd October it finally agreed to the second reading of the Withdrawal Agreement paving the way to allow the necessary legislation to go through. Johnson declined to take this further and pushed for an election instead.

We are now holding an election based on a con on one side and a fantastical myriad of spending plans on the other. Both have ignored what is to come. We are all ignoring it. We are in collective denial.
You do realise that Remainers wanted to change the act to include lots of other stuff - including a 2nd referendum? You know the one the Remainers promised would never happen...

You were arguing that the CS didn’t want Brexit because they were empire builders.

Your point above is bullshit xenophobia
No, sorry, I have witnessed the Civil Service in action (see above). The vast majority of civil Servants are Remainers and don't even try and hide it

Yeah, you're alright jack.
Three beemas and all.
And trickle down economics to look after the poorest and less fortunate to assuage your conscience ( that is if you've got one).

Cracked record? You? Surely not. Three beemas, trickle down economics? Your forgot to mention the Tory Debt. You're slipping mate.

This is stupid socialist economics though - it is we need money and we have oil so let's sell it for the good of people... Job done!

As we have seen though this isn't how it works and the failure to manage an economy is of prime importance compared to the decision to just spend for the good of folk.

Corbyn represents Venezuela except we won't have the oil, his oil will be government bonds which he'll sell off in the plenty to raise the cash we don't have.

Then he'll print money and distribute the proceeds which will ramp up inflation and interest rates and then we'll need state control and ownership over all goods.

Welcome to our new socialist state comrade.

Like you say we exit stage one and into stage two. The point of no return and 12 months on the clock until the adverse economic impacts hit and jobs start to be lost. Zero upside expected from anyone. Brexit will be an absolute disaster. The general public have been misled on this from day 1 - what makes you think that Johnson's government will be straight with them if they get into power.

I will be campaigning to rejoin.
Well that will be progress and right and proper - and actually consistent with my comments

Let's actually Leave so that...

People stop campaigning to Remain.

Let's experience having left and plan / manage that life......

During which people can start to mobilise a Rejoin campaign

Your choice obviously ..... personally I've always looked at policies and not personalities ,,,,, however it does seem that a large number of people prefer to vote for a lying, opportunistic, racist, homophobic , womanising bloke who denies the existence of his own children over and above the policies of a party that are trying to improve the lives of the people of the UK whilst also attempting to resolve the rubiks cube that is Brexit.

Strange times
So - given the rest of your post - that first line is just disingenuous bollocks then?

Just a gentle reminder that the Government was spending far more than it had received because it had handed out huge corporation tax cuts and agreed sweet heart deals with companies like Amazon and Google.

And the Tories will cut more or sell off our prize assets if they cant.
Nothing else?

Like the massive increase in the state by Labour

What about the large number of PFI deals that were done on ridiculous terms just to feed Brown's obsession?

not really, keep calling people who have a different view to you names in a hateful way and it does not funnily enough make them sympathetic to your view.

its hearts and minds labour need not calling people who happen to be voting Tory for once in their life some kind of nazi. Comparing this situation to nazi Germany. Really ?

you did it in the referendum . what were people who disagreed with you and your chums, thick and racists ? How did that one work out?

now the angry left are saying because you vote Tory you are some kind of facist far right nazi. Let’s see how that tactic will work again on Thursday. I think you might be crying into your morning star Friday morning.
Johnson : EU migrants have been able to " treat the EU as if it's part of their own country" for too long.
Think about that statement mate.
Think long and hard about it.
Stop looking the other way.

Again really well said.

To adapt a well known saying....

There are none more certain to fail than those that refuse to learn from past failings

Nah, let's mention the Tory debt shall we.
It's 1.8 trillion currently and it's been doubled in the last nine years by the party of 'economic competence'.
It should have been about 1.2 trillion now if their economic target back in 2010 of eliminating the deficit had been met but they err... failed miserably.
Oh and now austerity is off the table and no one's really sure whether it was ever necessary or just a big Tory mistake ( BoJo's trying to dissociate himself from it given his new found voter base), the Tories are going to let the deficit rip again with consequential further increase in the national debt.
Fcuk knows what will happen if we hit another recession ( one is due if only in the normal cycle of things), then maybe it will be Austerity Mark 2 with appropriate blame on migrants, travellers, immigrants etc to deflect.
Even worse three beema man might have to get rid of one.
I'm sure he'd do you a good deal while taking the piss.

Johnson's WA got through, then yet another remainer, Letwin, stymied it with yet another spanner in the works.
At that stage, Johnson, plus everyone who had seen their shenanigans one time too often, lost patience.
Labour, on hearing the news that looks like their demise, also frantically tried to get kids and foreigners to vote, thankfully, it
was thrown out.
We voted for Brexit three and a half years ago and have watched in ever mounting frustration as a remain dominated
parliament, groups of democracy deniers, and the likes of that arsehole with nothing better to do than adorn himself in EU fancy dress and scream
NO BREXIT at everyone
, trying their level best to kill off our vote.
This GE is the reckoning.

Fully funded by the EU or remoaners I expect...
