a mate told me this morning that the pep family have moved out of the city center flat and go back to Barcelona ?? he said he knew this because of the tower block the pep family was living in is being run by a company he works for and its been locked up and clean out ????

So far what's been reported is that the wife, and the youngest daughter are spending more time in Barcelona, while the older kids (GCSE/A-Level age) are still over here with Pep.

I am aware of that, I was thinking in the medium term and if Sane goes, all three will be gone in 2 years time. With regard to 3 great strikers, I agree with you that we miss having 3 great strikers at any one time. The problem with " great" strikers is, they are only considered "great" when proven and I doubt any great striker at his peak wants to compete with 1 or 2 other great strikers at their peak and £ 200 million + and top wages is a lot to pay for some guy sitting on the bench pouting because the other 1 or 2 are on the pitch. I think the best we could hope for is a "potentially great striker", preferably club trained. The club's pockets may have infinite depths but we are still limited in squad size and spending so unless we sell 3 or 4 players for 4 or 5 hundred million we are not going to be spending that amount on 1 or 2 strikers, even if we already have the financial capacity. If you know of any under 24 year old, 20 goals + per season striker with the skills of Aguero, the work rate of Jesus, the heading ability of Dzeko the pace of Sane and tall enough to score from an occasional corner and defend opponents corners then don't mention him here, go straight to Txiki so he can sign him up on Jan 1. In 50 years I've never known a top club that hasn't had a few signings that have not worked out for any number of reasons. In 10 years we have won titles under 3 different managers, I think that suggests a very solid administration and I doubt that they have failed to prepare professionally for the future.

Players buy and invest in properties all the time. Sergio has just bought a penthouse in the massive block just been built on Deansgate it doesn’t mean he’s staying he’s staying for five years. Likewise I work for the property management company who own the building David owns an apartment in (but doesn’t live in) and he isn’t looking to sell it despite the fact we all know he’s leaving in the summer. He will probably keep it as an investment for his retirement fund
