Wolves - post match

Big bag of steaming shite to throw that away. Mendy - unforgivable. How on earth does a so-called top defender not know to smack it anywhere in that situation ? Just get rid for sucks sake. Even tapping it out for a bloody corner would have a 90% chance of working out better. Damn that result was tough to take after all the effort.

And anyone here saying "Pep out" or "We need a new manager". Well ..... you're a moron.

It isn't that bad.

No it isn’t... but he needs to show his mettle over the second half of the season. Pep needs to control this second half of the season and either bring home a domestic cup gain points on Liverpool to make it respectable and make a real challenge for the CL. If he fails then he needs to publicly commit to the challenge and sign an extension with a view to a rebuild.

lots and lots of ways for him to redeem it.

I’ll stand with my initially prediction from a few months ago when it first started going pear shaped. He’ll sign off winning the CL after a poor domestic season.

I looked back to the build up for the sending off and Mendy won the header and then got clattered. I appreciate it's a clash of heads and I'm happy for the game to be stopped. It's a contact sport so I'm fairly happy with no foul. However, I'm not sure why there is not a contested restart. I thought Sterling was asking the ref why we were not getting the ball back. Wolves reset from a City attacking position and attack us. I think the ball should have been ours but I'd have been happy with the ball being kicked back to Bravo allowing us to retain position.

I appreciate that we should have dealt with the goal better but I don't think we should have been

In my opinion if we do not make a major signing at the back come January Pep will be gone...

It’s easy to overreact. We got the pen - which despite Michael Owens stupid comments was a pen. The crowd were convinced there’d been a miscarriage of justice and the rest of the game was played with Wolves in full on victim mode. Diving around like tarts with Atkinson giving every bit of contact as a foul. Generally we stood up to the pressure quite well. Two of wolves goals were quite fortunate- shots through legs - and Mendy - that’s Sunday league standard. Thought Bravo did okay when he came on. Wolves were pretty shite in open play but they love a set piece and Atkinson was a ready supply... was always gonna be tough. With time added on it was a long night with 10 men. Need to dust ourselves down. Thought the Amazon presentation was far and away the worst I’ve seen. Champion was an utter disgrace.

we wont be buying in the winter window.....the club will wait till summer and its been hinted at by Pep that we are planning for next season already - Im hoping he is seeing what others are (im sure he is) in that we will have to spend to sort out the defence - IF stones isnt fancied then we need two centre halves and a left back as a huge priority - even if its just two playerrs thats probably 100m plus easily. we may be able to recoup some of Medndy but would anyone have him (no one in the prem would)

Huge transition season needed and Im not sure its sortable in one transfer window (financially)

I agree. Watching him at the end and he looks like he is done tbh.best manager we have ever had and probably will ever have but maybe his time is up and we do need a change as we have been found out this season and pep doesn’t seem to have a plan b when things are not working because in all our games he very rarely knows how to get us back into games when we’re getting beat . End of the day I support Man City not pep

His hands are tied by injuries in every area. I doubt any manager would cope without the likes of Laporte, Stones, Sane, Silva, Jesus - and then the goalie gets sent off so we're down to 10 men. This is against a team that have no injuries and are flying

Whats spending more money will do to us if they are money spent like Cancelo and Rodri? That is around 85-90m pounds plus Danilo on top spent this summer. and we will be 20 points worse off than last season at this rate.

what needs to be realised Pool spent nothing this summer and Leicester clearly has a positive net balance and both ahead of us. Getting the best out of the squad is the secret, which beats any kind of transfer solution.

We bought 3 players in 2 and half years! After the last two season think the players are a bit fatigued and then we get sane injured out for the season laporte out for the majority of the season plus stones aguero Zinchenko injuries it’s bound to take its toll on the team/squad.
