Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I said exactly the same! Brilliant and criminally overlooked by Barca.

His agents spoke to us very recently. Only 26 and we are his first choice.

Not cheap!

It would suggest Cancelo out.

It is worth noting that Barca already have a replacement for Samedo, the young Brazilian on loan at Real Betis I believe, and he is concidered the "new Dani Alves"

Saying he's gone and we will start with a new manager next season?
Yep wholly incorrect.
I find your negativity draining.
So, I point out your strange and incorrect inference - and - Bob's Your Uncle - ad hominem attack.

For whatever reason you don't seem to get this set of facts:
1) I think that Pep is the best manager in world football bar none;
2) I very much enjoy the way Pep's sides play - that he is at our club and has instilled that sort of style makes City even more enjoyable to watch, in my opinion;
3) There's a pattern with Pep - he manages a club for 3 or so years and then leaves;
4) Based on 3 above I think Pep very well might leave us next season, though I dearly hope otherwise.

I've already asked you to explain this 'pattern'. 3 clubs, 1 'break', 1 'non-break'. What pattern?

Cant believe he will leave. We are just getting to the exciting bit.
Ederson not at prime.
Mendy not at prime (some would disagree I know).
Laporte not at prime.
Garcia not even started.
Bellis Harwood cant even drink (legally).
Rodri not at prime.
Bernado not at prime.
Kdb coming into prime.
Foden potential to be something very special.
Doyle not started yet.
Sterling not at prime still levels to go.
Braaf not even made debut yet but looks the real deal.
Sane not given up hope yet. Could still be a huge player.
Jesus bags of potential and fight still 22.

Stones, walker, ferna, kun, cancelo, mahrez, gundogan all still have minimum of a year to give. On top of some absolute gems coming through the u18s that are catching the eye already. Plus the odd loanee that may deserve a shot at a squad place.

Also if rumours are true, a cheeky £350m in summer to finish the puzzle.

Who would leave this

While the tone is a welcome change, this is typical churnalism at its best. Take some recent-ish quotes already covered, take some consistent quotes from a few months ago, state the obvious, attribute it to an 'unnamed source' and hey presto sell it as a new story from some old leftovers.

Would be great if he did indeed sign an extension though, no doubt.
