Keir Starmer

Clive Lewis has just finished his slim chance off by saying we should have a referendum on the Royal family.

Who advises these fucking people on what to say in a political campaign?

I’ve not seen the clip but saw the headline. What’s he thinking? Who does he think this will appeal to? And even if it did appeal, it doesn’t matter we don’t have a say in the matter - the Monarchy are here to stay until they decide otherwise

Its absolute basic politics for beginners yet they cant help themselves with shit like this that has instantly stopped any chance he had.

I'm astounded at the stupidity.

The insinuation there that it’s decent human beings that like socialism and those that don’t aren’t, doesn’t help at all. There’s many of us who are economically moderate, many that are left of centre, are for nationalising some industries and closing the gap between rich and poor but have been put off by the purist momentum driven obnoxious behaviour, that Corbyn’s base has driven.

Socialism isn’t definitely dead but it needs someone at Blair’s level of communication skills to sell it, not that he was socialist I’m just talking about his sales ability.

To be honest I don’t think the British public wants it. They want centrist economic policies, but not globalisation as Blairism was, and conservative social policies.

The only party offering this is the SDP but they don’t have the power to make an impact in this FPTP.
So socialists are all decent human beings are they? My arse they are.

I'm starting to believe Labour have been infiltrated by Tory operatives to destroy Labour from the inside out. They can't be this out of touch.

We can bring about "Exitwindsor" without a referendum.

He is correct, we should be able to choose every generation if we want to keep them or become a republic, as should every crown territory.

A monachy is allowed by the will of parliament and the people, they are not in absolute power anymore so the question should be asked from time to time.

It is not the pressing debate of the day nor is it going to be the defining point in a Labour leadership election.

Who is he appealing to with this to get him the top job?

It is utter fucking nonsense to be coming out with this in a leadership debate it really is.

Labour MP's need to go back to school and learn and understand politics mate.

So he cannot have an opinion on a subject that is getting the main headlines this week, he was asked by a journo and so answered, obviously that journalist thought it was relevant

He isn't even nominated yet and so anything his says is irrelevant as at this time he won't be in the leadership election unless he gets 11 more backers

He can have an opinion absolutely yes and maybe its a debate for the country at some point but it isnt right now as it would lose badly so why is a man trying to get the top job in Labour going on about it?

Its basic politics and Labour are just so fucking bad at it right now.

Honestly I don't care

Until the vote in february where I will make my choice on leader.

Deputy leader I have already decided.

I actually thought he was smarter than this. Should have fudged his answer or God forbid lied.

The answer is it is not important right now as there are far more pressing issues for the party or no comment.

When he is leader and PM down the line he can try to bring it about as policy but to come out with it now is a serious error.

December it was Billionaires that where the enemy and now he wants to portray the Royal family the same.

It isn't a vote winner and in politics, that is all that matters.

Does anyone at the top realise this yet?

I was in London taking to someone last week and a new movement (akin to the opposite of momentum) is starting which I can’t give the name of yet but is getting high level huge financial backing and support. It is essentially a movement that is aiming to take labour back to the centre ground and it is working on not winning the next election but the one after. It recognises that it is highly likely Boris will serve two terms. Will post more after the kids football.

So a more efficient version of labour first which was set up by progress memebers to counter act mommentum.

As with the staunch lefties, this group will also miss the point on why labour is failing and nowt will change, the big business backed centrist wing is as partisan and fuckwitted as the left side.

Meeting in the middle is what matters and creating a socialist party of the people, for the people, no a neo liberal or marxist throwback to other decades.

The world isn't the 60s, 70s ,80s or 90s anymore the world is in complete flux old politics of those decades is not where to look for the future

Burgon???
