I just don’t get this way of thinking. It’s suggesting that all politicians are as bad as each other to an identical extent. And that there is nothing whatsoever to distinguish them from each other. So child rapists such as Cyril Smith andClement Freud are exactly the same as others such as Frank Field and Tony Benn.He’s not, he’s as bad as the rest.

Frank Field was old school Labour and a fantastic local MP. Tony Benn was a brilliant public speaker. They were both true to their values.
