Liverpool thread 2019/20

Liverpool's GD is 12th in PL history after 20 games. While the point tally is very impressive, they have been about grinding out results, sometimes with the help of referees and luck. They haven't been very dominant in their games which is indicated also by the fact that they have outperformed their xG by 15 points. Style matters and theirs hasn't been special. The CL final with Spurs was dull.

If one isn't told that Liverpool are supposed to be one of the greatest teams, s/he wouldn't be able to tell it on the basis of watching them. Most of their performances are functional. City are having a poor season for Pep's standards and the GD of both teams is nearly identical.

Exactly the same happened when you played at Chelsea and their goal was still disallowed even though they’d lost the ball and Liverpool had attempted to clear it.
12 seconds later which is a long time in a game of football. We have scored goals from an opposition corner in less time.

I wonder if their wonder signing was hacked from our databases?

I’ve already had to tidy this thread up once today, and can’t really be arsed doing it every time a Liverpool fan posts on here. There’s no need for the pile-ons every time. If you think someone is on the wum then report them, otherwise please keep it civil and polite. As per the forum rules, away fans are welcome on here as long as they’re not taking the piss.

Can you moderate this as well please?

Did you call him a thieving ****?
No, I just made a little reference to Rafa's FACTS rant, don't now what others did after that, but as "the boss" has intervened it's probably best to just let it lie now and let's all just agree that they're a magnificent team who deserve all the plaudits they get for playing a wonderful brand of football and have been in no way given any help in being so far ahead in this year's race to the title. YNWA ;)

Welcome to all the lovely Livarpool people. Football is a broad church and as well as your famous wit and sense of humour, your incredible self-awareness and empathy to fans of other clubs and your deep technical knowledge of the game, your presence on our forum can only help our understanding of what it's like to be part of such a global cult phenomenon.

After all it's Livarpool and as we all know, this means more ons.

I just had a look at this forum and saw this

"I've looked all over BlueMoon for any reference to Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and can't find a single one.

Not a single reference, anywhere. No discussion at all about whether it's OK to be owned by a family of torturers who can be acquitted in a court of law even though they're caught on video torturing someone with the assistance of uniformed police officers.

And I'm trying to work out why that should be.

Maybe if you're visiting from over there you can start the thread about your owners' ethics? Unless, of course you, personally, like YOU YOURSELF, think that success in sport is worth selling your soul for.

LOL who am I kidding? That thread is completely impossible on that forum. Mere discussion of that family is absolutely forbidden. Why is that? Do you think?

We don't even even a nickname for your club.
"

ok firstly who is Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and what has he got to do with Manchester City ownership.
Why can people who are wondering about City ownership not google " Manchester City ownership" its all there it is not very complicated. We are owned by a private investment company from UAE and company from China 13% and a private equity firm from USA 10% .

these investment would not happened if our ownership was UAE state owned sport washing bullshit.

I just dont get it.

I go on another forum and discuss football which never seems to go well , it's an over 50's forum but you dont need to prove your age. Was discussing livarpool and City, when a dipper said City arent as big as the dippers

" What I find odd is after winning a couple of titles and a couple of cups the way some folk call them a big club, I call a Big Club the likes of Real Madrid Barcelona Man Utd Liverpool AC Milan Juventus teams who have done it over and over again won more than one European cup and many league titles. Now this may come to City in the future they have the spending power but for the moment they are no different than say Leicester just a lot richer."

My reply big club that hasn't won it's own country title for 30 yrs !

I kid you not lolol

I'll never understand why anyone gives a shit how "big" their club is (or indeed know what barometer they're using). Needless to say, it tends to be Liverpool and United fans who obsess about it more than any others.

Talking of which, the Heysel thread on RAWK makes interesting reading if you’ve got a spare four minutes (to read it in its entirety). I expect you’ll need much longer to find it mind, as it’s not been bumped for a few years I’ll hazard.
