Misplaced loyalty of Pep plays him against half decent opposition.

He has to play to get match fit,we need all our experienced players as well as the kids

An off day today, but he needs a couple of games to get up to pace , expect him to play 30 minutes tormenting the Rags and gradually build up his fitness , if he is back on form by February he has to start against Real , Zidane will not want to face a flying Merlin , he still has a lot to offer over the next few months. Anybody writing Merlin off needs to give their head a wobble.

Maybe he prefers Miami. Weather, maybe? Although, having spent his last 10 years in the Costa del Etihad, he should be fairly hardened to the odd spot of rain or snow. Gran Canaria, it certainly isn't!

I agree. I love Dave nearly as much as my kids but I want to see him influencing the game from the bench now, Bernie would have ripped Villa apart today with that amount of ball.

Unfortunately - still the best "LEFT 8" in this city team..

Bernardo is progressing but still needs some time to get used to that new position.. Last three games he played behind the striker as n10, not as "LEFT 8", but he is progressing and will be there soon.
Foden is still young and with his experience, Silva is better than him.
Gundo is best as number 6 and not as 8..

So.. I hope Bernardo will be ready for that role before the CL playoffs or otherwise Pep will definitely start him in both matches..

I don't think he will try those 3-5-2 or 4-2-4 new tactics again the best team in Europe. He will stick to 4-3-3..

We won 6-1 lol,games like this is where dave should play and give bernie some rest
