Cas will defer this punishment until after any hearing, I'm pretty certain of that.

That could be months away (6-9 months ?) No one of real quality is going to want to sign for us until the appeal is finished so forget anyone good coming in summer.

Does anyone know what will happen if it gets that far? I can only imagine that at the moment, only the CAS can stop them imposing the ban. If that was the case, we'd basically be out of the competition for at least a season but we could potentially sue UEFA for loss of earnings, damages, players lost or missed out on, potential sponsors and so on, to the tune of... Who knows how much?
