Looks like I decided to ditch the season ticket this year for good reason, for me football has had its day it's obviously corrupt it isn't a sport with a level playing field and it's disappeared up its own backside.

Some of my decision is to do with age and how I view the over manicured presentation (Muddy pitches and players with bite mixed with volatile chairmen etc as was) half and half scarves the refusal by normal decent football fans to accept that it's more about money than it ever has been and it's killing the game as I knew it, maybe it's time just to accept that we are only going to be allowed to be a provincial club that might win a trophy every now and then whilst he cartel opens the doors for teams like the old top 4.

Either way the chumps league can take a running jump I wont even watch it from my sofa, I will not be a Turkey voting for Xmas.
You can give up most will just be wound up by it.

Re: the timing of this announcement really sucks. From the statement issued by UEFA the decision to ban us was made on 22nd January yet it's taken them more than 3 weeks to release which coincides with an upcoming match in the very competition for which we face a ban. Definitely not coincidental. Really hope it galvanises the team and we do a number on Madrid. Unfortunately, I like many others here, think the result for the tie has already been decided (just like the "investigation"). Utter contempt for UEFA now rather than just the disdain I had for them previously.

I get that point but he is in the last season of his contract next season anyway. The club would probably have assured him we were sweet with all the ffp shit so he may feel let down if we are banned. If, however, we win the appeal this might galvanise him even more to continue.
Pep's not your usual football dumb manager who doesn't understand economics. The club will have shared with him in minute detail the financial transactions that UEFA are throwing at us.

Thanks for correcting me, mate. That doesn’t sound good. Whether CAS decisions are 100% incontestable is moot. Some on here are saying so but I’d want to hear it from qualified legal experts before accepting it.

I suspect that any evidence we adduce would be less heavily reliant on press reports. CAS can only rule on the evidence before it. The more interesting aspect was that the court was prepared to, at least, consider the question of FFP being anti-competitive even if Galatasaray couldn't prove it.

I don't believe that. There will be a two or three fanbases (yes we all know who they are) that believe we deserve this and may give us a bit of abuse. The rest won't care.
I will draw your attention to the dogs abuse sterling received when he moved to city. A well organised media campaign will see many clubs fans jump on the city hating bandwagon, just as ignorant fans of teams who have no vested interest in anything to do with city will believe what they read without question.

Those who were persistent in their shouting down of those who have screamed agenda, have suspiciously been missing tonight.

It is now available in all its glory and for every fucking one of us to see just how bent UEFA actually are.

How every journalist has shown themselves to be the parasites they are.

Our club is under fucking siege and I sincerely hope todays outcome finally provides whatever it is you needed to see what is really happening.

This is a decision designed to finish our football club in its current space. Nothing else.

The PL will follow. I can guarantee it.

My apologies for going off piste but I had to get that one off my chest.

I understand but it should be a matter of honour now. I'll always remember the football we played under him, but I won't respect him anymore if he jumps the ship now. He got all the love from the club, his mates are in trouble, if he runs away, I won't have any good opinion about him as a man.
Do you not reckon the club have kept him completely informed on the hidden elements of this thing though? As in the club are apparently confident, wouldn't they be doing absolutely everything in their power to reassure Pep to not worry about today's announcement? If that works then Pep carries on as per normal.

It's possible some of the players could have been clued in too, no?

Initial leaks were talk of a one year ban until we made a preemptive strike with CAS.
UEFA have obviously been sat on their decision until the CAS report was released this week, on seeing it wasn't bullet proof I'd hazard a guess they changed it to a two year ban in the hope the settlement after an appeal would be reduced to one year to appease both parties.

My guess is, City's legal team won't be appeased.

That is my take on it, they are trying to kill us off and it will IMO stretch to the PL too, we've already seen the media attack us on behalf of their SKY top 4 chums for years.

I agree. Either way I think he will stay next year, after that will hinge on what happens. As a Catalan he doesn't like injustice but all this constant shit would wear out the strongest person.

The reason Rags, Dippers, Spurs etc fans are so keen to see us punished is because ultimately it could help their clubs. The media pamper to these fanbases which is why they report on us as they do, What happens to us will have no effect whatsoever on 15 or 16 of the PL clubs and I reckon a lot of them can see through all the shite and see what we see. The treatment of Sterling is nothing to do with this issue

An agenda would be pretty transparent. People screaming agenda, when they should be saying hidden agenda, discredit their own argument.
