The question I want to ask any legal people on here.
If CAS throw it back to UEFA and say you have not done your investigations properly. Having not communicated with city on numerous issues and trying to rush it through to beat the deadline.
Are UEFA able to revisit it or is it now too late as the deadline has passed?

Part of me thinks this may have been a pre planned outcome between UEFA and City.
Basically UEFA can go back to the clubs pushing to punish city and say we did our best but ran out of time

This is the first of three options open to City and it is a very powerful approach. As PB pointed out CAS attach great importance to procedure and may not hesitate to throw out the case against City on the grounds that we have not been dealt with strictly according according to the procedure laid down. This does not involve any questioning of the legitimacy of FFP or of even of whether any evidence proves that City have actually broken the regulations which could drag on for years in the first case or months in the second. City's case appears very strong and I think it is going to be possible to argue that the interventions from senor Tebas and others are attempts to influence the investigatory commission. The timing of the too numerous leaks suggest an attempt to detract from, and devalue a uniquely successful season and render City's activity in the transfer window much more difficult. It does appear that UEFA have been taken by surprise and it must have "stunned" UEFA, if they are conspiring with a cartel of other clubs, that their undue haste and concern to make an example of City may well have backfired before it has really got under way. As Kieran Maguire says, a ban for the coming season is now virtually impossible and, we hope and think, any sanction is unlikely. The failure of the investigatory committee to abide by its own procedure appears to scream unfair treatment.
