I trust the owners and the directors to find a good solution. It ain't be easy but we'll cope with the situation. It will only make us more determined to succeed.

The best way to react is to win the CL this season and the PL next season. It's feasible.

I said it a while back, but we've been trying to play nice with UEFA and the media since the buyout - hoping we would win them round... hopefully now this has laid bare to the club, just what a corrupt bunch of self-serving, cnuts they all really are... and I hope they go for the jugular, no more Mr. Nice Guy - show them all what nasty really is!
I genuinely want to see UEFA ground into the dirt for this... one look at how PSG got away with their sponsorship case should disgust anybody - blue or oppo fan! I'd love the club to employ their own hackers and dig dirt on every major European club... bring the whole house of cards down!

There is a reason they are keeping something to themselves,i've woken up a tad worried today
Possibly anticipating legal action from City somewhere along the line so pretend they have proof of wrongdoing which is only divulged if we accept the punishment.

“It’s not easy for our competition, we know that. But the reality is, we didn’t buy the most expensive player in the Premier League [Pogba], we didn’t buy the most expensive goalkeeper [Kepa Arrizabalaga], we didn’t buy the most expensive midfielder, we didn’t buy the most expensive striker [Lukaku].

Absolutely zero, I'd say.

Then how do you explain PSG got a sanction together with City in 2014 if Platini was giving a special protection to the french club ?

You just have to read UEFA rules to understand the differences in the case and why/how they are trying to trap City.

-PSG case : inflated sponsorship from related parties. It has been dealt with according to their rules :

BREAK-EVEN REQUIREMENT
Notion of relevant income and expenses

1 Relevant income and relevant expenses are defined in Annex X.

2 Relevant income and expenses must be calculated and reconciled by the licensee to the audited annual financial statements and/or underlying accounting records and to the projected break-even information if applicable.

3 Relevant income and expenses from related parties must be adjusted to reflect the fair value of any such transactions or, for player transfers between clubs that are related parties, the value in accordance with Annex X

PSG sponsors from related parties have been investigated again and again and the value adjusted to the "fair value". After that, PSG balanced the account to cover the difference by selling players.
Hence why they couldn't sanction. They have to follow their rules.

-In City case, the leaks have given them ammunition to say City have breached those rules :

The licensee must:
a) cooperate with the licensor and the UEFA Club Financial Control Body in respect of their requests and enquiries;

b) provide the licensor and the UEFA Club Financial Control Body with all necessary information and/or relevant documents to fully demonstrate that the monitoring requirements are fulfilled, as well as any other document requested and deemed to be relevant for club monitoring decision-making, by the deadline set by the licensor and/or the UEFA administration (the reporting entity or combination of entities in respect of which information is required must be the same as for club licensing);

c) confirm that all the submitted documentation and information are complete and accurate;

d) promptly notify the licensor in writing about any subsequent events that constitute a significant change to the information previously submitted to the licensor, including a change of legal form or legal group structure

And by subsequently adjusting the contract to their new "fair value", they have artificially put you into break even deficit.

Then City has accused UEFA of having breached on of their own rules :

The licensor must:

a) communicate the deadlines of the monitoring process to the licensee;

b) cooperate with the UEFA Club Financial Control Body in respect of its requests and enquiries;

c) as a minimum assess the monitoring documentation in accordance with Annex IX;

d) assess and confirm to the UEFA Club Financial Control Body that the selected reporting perimeter is the same as used for the fulfilment of the club licensing criteria and is appropriate for club monitoring purposes;

e) inform the UEFA Club Financial Control Body of any relevant information submitted by the licensee in respect of club monitoring requirements and any event occurring after the licensing decision that constitutes a significant change to the information previously submitted by the licensee.

In carrying out these responsibilities, the licensor ensures equal treatment and guarantees full confidentiality of all information provided.

It is not hard to follow if you read UEFA rules. No need to put Platini into the discussion. If there are leaks pointing to PSG doing the same thing, you can be sure Tebas and the cartel and the media will push (he is already doing it now) for another investigation and further due sanctions.

I did not think PSG got there sponsorship reduced or at least not that much I am sure that your sponsors where paying a huge amount more than cities despite being in a lesser league

UEFA must have deemed PSG sponsors related party but cities where not nor where they deemed over valued so how can they now say they they are over valued (then they have to be related party) even this alleged new evidence in these emails does not change the ownership or the amount of money in the sponsorship just where the money has come from

I don't think there is any possibility of a reduced ban and I'm glad about that.

From what I can gather City's WHOLE defense is, quite correctly, that we have NOT done anything against any rules and are completely innocent of all charges.

The only outcome we can accept from this is total exoneration, no ban, no fine, and quote possibly some serious financial compensation.

We either win it all or we lose it and suffer this ban and fine.

And I for one am all for that position. We have to fight this in full. No more deals, no more taking a pinch.

Shit or bust, us or them, right or wrong.

I believe in the club's bullish stance. I believed the Chairman when he came out defiantly last year.

I believe in City.

The club needs us now more than ever. Full to the end of matches, atmosphere aplenty. A very public show of solidarity every week.

Game. Fucking. On.

Couldn’t agree more, if we haven’t committed any breaches or crimes, we stand steadfast and accept no “pinches” whatsoever, and I wish people would piss off with this “ooh accept a one year ban” bollocks, get behind the club until it’s proven otherwise in an independent arena !

Absolutely zero, I'd say.

The level of interest in that set up would be zero too

I just think if City had an Ace to play it would have been played a long time ago and things would never have got this far. The fact that we're relying on CAS to favour us on a subjective technical argument is a pretty weak defence IMO. I suspect we'll get a reduction which is no use as by definition we'd still be regarded as cheats and everything we'd won is tarnished. The thing is a farce manipulated by a cartel that doesn't want new boys at the table and FFP was a crock of shit from the get go with historical debt not being factored in a load of bollocks. Suits ManUre and Real Madrid amongst others. It was never going to be a fair fight. So if we're going down then let's take some of these fukkers with us and bloody a few noses. Bring it on. CTID.
