There's little to be gained from all this, but what I think is now certain is that the Etihad will forever become a cauldron of noise rather than a place of palatial atmosphere which is the norm these days whereby it only kicks off with derby games and the dippers. The support we will now get will be hardened rather than flask and butty bag carriers, and the atmosphere will end all the jibes of 'Emptihad' which we have endured for far too long.

Most of the flask and butty bag carriers have been going for years; it's the tourists and JCLs we need to get rid of, starting with half 'n' half vendors and wearers.
