Leicester City (A) - Post-Match Thread

Eddie wiped him out. If it had been the hobbit clattering Sergio like that I would have expected a penalty for us to miss.
Why ? In real time it looked strange, (why else would the ref give a corner) but watching it back Eddie goes for it, as his right, he punches it onto the forwards head and it rebounds for a goal kick. The momentum of eddie means he collides with the player but that does not mean it is a foul.

Anyway, the game was spoilt for me by not being able to celebrate the goal. I knew it was a close call so waited...… and waited. The daft thing is $ky showed it was onside before they gave it officially. VAR ruins the game, end of.

Don't agree...players rolling around, diving, trying to get other players sent off/booked...that has been slowly ruining the game for years before VAR

it was a 50/50 one and no harm intended, its a lights out moment or what we used to call a hospital ball, glad no real harm was done and Iheanacho was ok

they always remind of this clip

No harm being intended doesn’t make it not a foul, Cult wanted that for Manes kick to Edersons face, rewriting the laws that made intent a thing when it’s not. Not that I feel yesterday’s was a foul to be honest, mainly because he got the ball, not because he meant no harm.

like i said its a 50/50 and you have to go all in for them or you get hurt

Just listening to 606 from last night and they've gone to the half time report at our game and the commentator said ederson clattered nacho and could have been a penalty.

As we know ederson got his hands to it and put it onto nachos head then there was the collision, surely they have monitors and replays and it slowed down like we see.
Having seen that back a few times, since Ederson got to the ball first and punched it into Iheanacho, then they collided; it should either have been a free kick to us or a goal kick... a corner was given, even after VAR!

KDB had a bit of a shocker?? More like he was 9 out of 10 rather than 10 out of 10
I'll need to rewatch the game again but my own opinion during and after as per my post was he was poor yesterday... the issue with KDB as someone has stated earlier this morning is that he makes passes or plays during the game which means we forget quite a lot that happens before that.

He has always played the same way in terms of trying the hardest passes and if it comes off then everyone has the right to be happy with that, but yesterday he gave the ball away too many times against a team who are renowned for hitting on the break and his challenges were soft to say the least.

Apologies if we have a difference of opinion on this and as I said, happy to change my mind when i get to see the game again but I can guarantee that upon reflection I will not be giving a 9/10 for him on this occasion.

Enjoyed the game yesterday. Just as well I went and didn’t rely on the one sided MOTD highlights.

Chilwell had a free evening fouling as much as he wanted without a single warning by the ref. Quality move for the goal and deserved to win the game.

Leicester stalls outside the ground with a new selling trend - F••K VAR scarves.

He still hit a variety of superb passes though.

Been our problem all season, in top 6 games & in Europe Pep likes Gundo before Dave, Phil & Berny in that 8 role

I think he plays better as more of HM or 6

Phil has no chance with him around & Dave but I guess next season has to be his chance otherwise I would be asking big questions

Gundo like you say wasnt great but neither was Aguero who was our worst player yesterday imo

Gabby to be honest can play outside on either flank his work rate is fantastic & major reason I would stick with him but definitely not as No 9 we need to replace Aguero with 1 of Martinez or Haland the later imo he is built for the prem & huge star

Mendy the jury is still out for me, yes better but I still dont get some of his passing & definitely not our best defender but I will leave maximum judgement end of May

No surprise we have clean sheets with Laporte back wow he has been f in missed what a player, the Real game probably 3 weeks to soon but he is back

Mahrez once again showing he is 1st pick on the right & Kev imo deserves LPOY that I'm sure will go to Mane or Henderson

Very lucky yesterday, 2 VAR decisions going our way only taken 7 months
Aguero didn't get enough of the ball to judge whether he have a bad match. Phil 'asking questions' isn't a factor. It's simple. Next season he delivers and claims a spot in the team.

Fair enough, everyone is entiled to their opinion.

The ref never gave it and it was not a clear and obvious error so it was the correct decision.
Add on the Laporte deflection.
