I'm told stealing a JCB from a nearby building site and using it to tear one of the walls down is quite effective. Snowy weather is best apparently, so that rules out doing it in July for you.

They had an epidemiologist on the World at One discussing this. She said in the worst case, if it became endemic, then in future instead of referring to the “cold and flu season” we would refer to the “cold, flu and covid19 season” !

I've just bought 2 pairs of hernia briefs, 6 pairs of diabetic socks and a neck brace and according to the packaging they are made in China. Does this virus travel well..?? Should I therefore keep them in my sock drawer never to see the light of day or should I boil wash them just to be on the safe side.

Apart from eradicating it (a la SARS), that could be the best case scenario, as it would mean we have a vaccine, standard treatment regime, robust screening, preparedness plans, and statistically significant evidence-based public awareness/education campaigns in place, which will significantly decreases it’s impact (hopefully to that of influenza A and B).

But we are well off all of that right now.

I’ve stopped ordering Chinese take always some time ago which has proved very effective so far in safe guarding my family and have just added pizzas to that list now. If this virus arrives in India I’m screwed though - stay safe out there mooners and remember to make sure you lock and load to protect your home!

I am already ahead of the curve. I have started breaking into people garages to plunder their chest freezers. Very exciting and even cheaper than Lidl.

Loads of frail OAP's live nearby too, which reduces the stress of running low on custard creams and tins of spam.

I'm sorted.

I am picking my victims carefully, starting with the drug users across the road and ending with Ethel the ubiquitous good old gal friend to everyone enemy to none, she's got good stuff in her silverfish infested larder I have no doubt.

On the topic of football could the virus do the until now thought impossible and end the inevitable Liverpool's first title in 30 years.

They would probably give it to them by default if the season were to end after 28 games but it would be a title without meaning if that were to happen.
