If we played games behind closed doors everyone would just go to the pub.
I’m not advocating panic buying. But there could be a serious shortage of alcohol.

That is true.You should be cancelling travel,schools and work places before football.It is absolutely pointless cancelling gatherings if you are still allowing millions of people to socialise, shop and travel freely. You are just as likely to catch it on a bus train, tram or tube and walking around a supermarket than at a game. To me if they cancel gatherings it is just so it looks like they are doing something.
Well as much as it would be amusing if the scousers won the league against Palace in an empty stadium imagine if that happened. You would probably have about 50,000 maybe more outside the ground that day or at least in the centre of the City. It wouldn’t solve anything and if they were all outside the ground it could be pretty dangerous.
