United (a) post-match thread

I think in the long run it will be proved right to play that team rodri should have been rested though but really pissed off with the effort of the team just wasnt there expecting a big response on wednesday and burnley we cant be going into the madrid and newcastle on the back of 3 bad results.

Believe me people, I want to be as angry as the next fan for none of the starting 11 scoring higher than a 5 out of 10, or Pep for not starting our current best defender (Walker) or our current biggest attacking threat (Mahrez) with KDB already out, but when you end up baby sitting your 3 month old grandson during the match and see that thing on his bedroom wall that says something like 'We're going to love you even more when you're little, because soon you won't be little any more', even a derby defeat against those goons doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things

A lap of honour after beating ickle citeh...

The gift that keeps giving.

I had turned it off by then, did they really do that? I understand celebrating, a derby win is always sweet and in their tiny minds it means they are back at the top, but a bloody lap of honour!

Liner thought it was like the old days running up and down in front of the Main Stand trying to impress Slur Alex. His flag went up immediately against Aguero which is not in line with the directive. We all know that Aguero was onside because they would have analysed it to death if the VAR picture had been able to prove it.
It was not a free kick for the goal either. But it looked a penalty against Otamendi, which they did analyse to death at half time.
the pen incident was shown numerous times from one angle, which made it look like he was touched whereas the other angle which they showed once showed he dived VAR agreed with the ref which we know for sure they wouldn’t if their was anyway they could manipulate it

Is there a single City fan who would swap our season for their season? Is there a fan who would prefer to beat 3 times Manure and battle with Sheff. United for 5th and with Lask (?) in EL while watching United comfortably making the top 4, winning the cup after beating us to reach the final, beating Real at Bernabeu and being among the favorites in the CL?

Is there a single fan who would prefer that? If No, then why moan all day and slate the manager and the players?

We can't win every season the title or the derby. It's fucking great that even with so many injury problems after two so successful seasons we have won a cup and have a chance to win two other cups. It's incredible to win 8-10 trophies over just 3 seasons, absolutely incredible. And if we win a treble this season after the domestic treble last season, this would make this team the greatest ever in England. Because of this possibility Pep rotates heavily and risks losses like yesterday's. League is gone anyway. We need a fresh and happy squad to compete in the cups.
This.

So losing our 3rd derby of the season is ok just because you wouldn’t swap positions with them? Absolute aids post.

Yes, he understands that Derby fine being a Catalonian.

The fact he once gifted them a carling cup match by playing youth players and helping them recover some sort of form afterwards, also hints at not kicking the ****s when they are down attitude, whereas us as fans would have had them fucking buried.

The 2nd leg this season was a stage-managed 1-0 defeat, he did enough to get us through, the fact that we took our foot off the gas at 3-0 in the 1st leg when we should have buried them by 6 or more could also be attributed to him saying we have done enough lads, keep out of harms way for 45 mins etc
There were numerous reports that he was furious that we took the foot of the gas in the first leg and that he gave them a rollicking at full time
