15%? where did you see that?

463 deaths divided by 9172 cases = 5.04%
Unfortunately that’s not how they do the calculation.
The mortality rate is based on the total number of resolved cases. The resolved cases are people who have recovered completely plus those who have died.
Therefore the death rate they use is deaths/resolved cases. And in some countries that is over 50%.

Absolute utter bullocks. it is a cast iron certainty that someone visiting Cheltenham will have the virus and will infect many more people.

Having been to Cheltenham once I can confirm that hygene standards are low. Many forget to pull their pants up let alone wash their hands after taking a piss. I assume that punching others in the face whilst shouting 'you fecking fecker' is also a viable method of transition and there is plenty of that going on toward the end of the day, men and women.

Nah Kevin Horlock’s wand says everything will be ok so long as we get an April heatwave that lasts a month.

I never said that at all . Show me the post where I said it would.when the debate came up , I think ww said it, people wrongly claimed it was hot in Iran and northern Italy and it wasn’t.

I have no idea whether the hot weather will stop it or slow it , no more than you do.

are there any stats or analysis you could share with us about person to person transfers in the area.
First 12 in Qatar were all flown in from Iran and quarantined.

Next 6 all lived in the same labour camp, 3 one day, 3 the next and had had no contact with first 12. They’re still trying to work out where the got it but all six worked either in a supermarket or wholesale food market.

Because of the latter six, all schools, nurseries and universities were immediately closed yesterday.

Having said that, one of my clients is an A&E consultant and he says they’re treating 74, not 18. So that doesn’t fill me with joy.

They’ve not updated the figures yet today.

Agreed, but while the data is actually quite low they are doing the infected vs deaths. its how the WHO have come to 3.5% fatality rate at the mo.

That is not how most of it is spread, touching surfaces on public transport to get there and back, anywhere you touch then touch your face touching anything can give you it,i have picked it up from the wembley trip

As for me i have gone backwards a bit today, nature of the beast i guess

Saw today they are expecting thousands more to get it but they won't bite the bullet and cancel sport

I was thinking about when my age group where kids and we had chicken pox parties, one kid would it or measles etc so we were all sent to their house, get infected and go home and cuddle up on the settee with your siblings and get over it,wonder if that is what boris has in mind

I think you are giving Boris more credit than he is due, i doubt he has any sort of plan at all :)

I am sorry to say I think he has, and he is putting £££ before peoples lives.

His chief medical and scientific honchos are probably exactly that due to being happy to tell the government what they want to hear as far as possible.

I am curious to know if me getting up at 7:00am, climbing into my car and going to play 18 holes of golf on my own and then returning straight home constitutes self isolation?

Just trying to get my days planed out if i get any health issues next week.

I can see loads of people trying to take advantage of the situation over the next 2 or 3 weeks.

They've passed a law? Didn't know that. That's the other way of course!
They're going to pass an economical decree tomorrow. They had only passed lockdown/safety decrees during these weeks.
I think even an encouragement would have probably worked, as you said, but better be sure.

Leave the pin in and don't rake the bunker

Cheers.
It certainly covers all the smaller operations as well as the big lenders that way.

Chicken pox parties... glad it worked for you but it's not a great idea.
And it's absolutely not a good idea for this virus.

What will they do if people don't obey these decrees? Shoot them? Put them in prison (presumably in solitary)?
