Shut the league down now.
There are other benefits I'm sure but this should be all you need.

Joking aside, I think UEFA CL should be scrapped now.
This could get very nasty very quickly and shutting down football domestically may become an inevitability, along with concerts and other sporting events.
How long it has to shut down for could depend on how long they wait to make the decision.

One northern Italian team already in the last eight and one certainly in with a good chance... Hard to see how the quarter final matches can be played. As for the PL its hard to see how Arsenal or West Ham can play for a fair while.

Or maybe, they'll prove to have been right all along and this apocolyptic hysteria will have all been for nothing. Not that any of those wetting themselves will ever admit it.

The last sentence is common decency and normal hygiene at any time.
I live with someone with a rare and incurable lung condition so I am trying to be more careful, or “wetting myself” as you put it. If she died I suppose it would only be apocalyptic to me and as an overall figure in the cases of those dying with underlying health issues, be regarded as insignificant.

I will however hold my hands up to the “wetting myself” charges if the eventual number of deaths don’t meet your criteria.

Nine dead now. That's almost five per cent of the people currently diagnosed :(

I hope your partner remains okay.

How has that list dressed up Barcelona and Real Madrid?
And Chelsea have a £1bn loan to Abramovich still, don't they? I don't think it was converted to equity.

I think this lists primary debt on Football Clubs ‘Official’ Accounts. Many clubs including United and Chelsea have a complex network of other entities - tied directly to the club or the owner that are a significant part of the financial landscape of those clubs. As you say one of Abramovich’s businesses (I think it’s in Cyprus) is owed more than a billion by Chelsea. The fact that this isn’t exposed or discussed is largely because the PL, UEFA and the media are all pillars of the football establishment with zero interest in examining the financial health of Man United or Chelsea etc. When it comes to us on the other hand - no stone is left unturned. How can we be required to submit our accounts and have them scrutinised by the likes of Gill but United don’t even have to provide a comprehensive picture of their financial well-being - given that no one outside United has a clue what’s buried in the Cayman Islands.

I've just realised your name is blue oli and not blue oil as I kept reading it as that. ;)

Honestly, me too, wouldn't have noticed otherwise if you hadn't highlighted it.
Anyone else out of curiosity?

If Juventus got through, it's difficult to see how the CL could be meaningful with 2 Italian sides in the last 8 and if it's not possible to travel.
If Liverpool go out tonight, I’m sure there will be more support from the EPL to shut down the CL. Especially as Chelsea are all but out. It would leave only us.
