If it'd been City 20+ points ahead, the season would have been chopped yesterday

So they're blaming that Olympiakos guy? ;-)It's not a happy place....
"Our quest for the title is like a fucking Greek tragedy."
All bets void surely?Last season huge amounts were lost in Far East betting syndicates when we won the title - Liverpool were heavily backed. There are billions at stake for Liverpool to win this year - lives will be lost if the dippers don't win it this year. I'm sure significant pressure is being applied in the right areas. As sooner as Liverpool win it the league will be suspended.
To be fair you were trying to give yourself one.I had a cricked neck.
I know what you mean. Shelves cleared here too. That’s where the social disapproval comes in.
They’re being called out on social
media and the news and every second program I’ve watched tonight.
A Boccaccio quotation on Bluemoon, my life is replete."There was now a multitude... who practiced without having received the slightest tincture of medical science - and, being in ignorance... failed to apply the proper remedies."
"[Others] maintained, that to drink freely, frequent places of public resort, and take their pleasure with... revel, sparing to satisfy no appetite, and to laugh and mock at no event, was the remedy for so great an evil." "Not all died, neither did all escape."
Boccaccio in The Decameron (1353). Funny, you could apply this to the Premier League's handling of the COVID-19 situation.
So many just don't get this, and are assuming what China did has worked, it might have cut numbers, and while they celebrate that, how many will catch it once they "free" everyone ?They should stop pretending these ‘postponed’ games will ever take place. This is just the start of CV, they should just call it off and hope we can start a fresh In August, which is not a given
This prick from RAWK think otherwise, I hope they do cancel the league now.Even the scousers will admit it should be null and void??
I decided yesterday that I would stay away from this Burnley fixture due to my age,69,irrespective of having no underlying medical conditions relating to respiratory problems.
Boris maybe a tit but he is working on the advice of the experts led by the chief medical officer and chief scientist. To me it is clear that they want people to get it to create herd immunity but, to protect the vulnerable hence the message today. Shutting schools will not stop kids mixing and will drive them to grandparents, the most vulnerable. So if you get symptoms self-isolate for 7 days it’s the first 4 you are most contagious after that you are relevantly safe They need to slow down the peak and hopefully reduce it to help the NHS copeSo you agree with his decisions (despite doing the opposite of most nations) yet criticising the fa and premier league for not following other sports? Can’t have it both ways, Boris is a tit and wrong and so is the fa and premier league

Unfortunately your post is possibly going to be true mate.So many just don't get this, and are assuming what China did has worked, it might have cut numbers, and while they celebrate that, how many will catch it once they "free" everyone ?
Its no going away in the next 3 or 4 weeks, and probably not 3 or 4 months either.

"Thank goodness for some sanity.
Honestly, I'm sick to fucking death of the mass hysteria, panic and baseless speculation.
OK, the situation is bad, but it's not the end of days.
Flu kills between 290,000 and 650,000 annually, but I don't see Prime Ministers going on national television to inform us that many of us are going to lose family members over that.Talk about creating mass panic!![]()
If football has any common sense whatsoever (I know... ) if the game has to be halted then all they need to do is suspend the season and finish it once things return to normal once more. If they are daft enough to cancel it altogether, then current league placings should be honoured accordingly.
As far as our league is concerned, no one is getting near Liverpool. It was won in all but name ages ago. If a team 25 points ahead does not get awarded the title then there would be absolute uproar that would have serious repercussions within the game. Voiding the whole thing would be complete lunacy and, in my humble opinion, is simply not going to happen.
If necessary, just suspend current tournaments and resume when possible."
Yep. It’s delusional of authorities to think that this will somehow disappear in a week or two. I cannot believe how slow the PL have been to make the call. I woke this morning (Australia) to see that the PL said all games this weekend are going ahead as planned. Clearly this is a case of Wealth before Health as another member put it.They should stop pretending these ‘postponed’ games will ever take place. This is just the start of CV, they should just call it off and hope we can start a fresh In August, which is not a given
