Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

The government wants to create a "herd immunity"
Chief medical officer said yesterday it's "not possible to stop people getting it, and it's NOT DESIRABLE because people need to get immunity"
They just want to manage the peak to coincide with the summer when the NHS can cope better.
 
What what what,why even consider this

The FA had considered getting the England players together if friendlies with Italy and Denmark were postponed later this month. However, there is now no meet up or training sessions planned despite the games being cancelled because of the coronavirus.

and that in a Nutshell is that. I completely agree and as i said yesterday, even if Liverpool's lead was unassailable, they must complete all games as they could always incur penalties of docked points for ineligible players or failure to complete fixtures.

As sad as they may find it, they are truly (for the first real time) 'once again the victims'.

We simply can't award titles or trophies for healthy leads or incomplete events. If we did then Devon Loch would have won the 1956 Grand National and Esha Ness would have won it in 1993.

Maybe a 'Certificate of Achievement' and a mention on SPOTY, but not the Title because this season results and goals will all have to be wiped from the record books. You could call them 'Ghost' goals, and if you ask any Chelsea fan, they know Liverpool are familiar with those.
 
A game of British bulldogs is the fairest way to sort it all out. The Liverpool fan lines up opposite fans of the other PL clubs and if he gets through they win the title.
As Liverpool have a massive lead it's only fair they can have the fastest player, things are evened up slightly by allowing the City fan an AK-47.

No respect from me. Respect from me to all of the other managers who have said the same but dont get reported, not like this anyway... "Klopp has consistently played down his own importance in the issue, instead urging people to focus on the words of medical experts rather than his own" Says who? Sky? They played CL the other night, not a word of cancelling that.

The whole article is one big advert for how brilliant Klopp is.

Well done Klopp, but also well done to every other manager who has said exactly the same but get ignored by Sky/BBC
