How about this for qualifying criteria:

At least four league titles in the last ten years*

At least two FA Cups in ten years.

At least five EFL Cups in ten years.

One UEFA trophy in the past fifty years.

* No asterisk titles accepted.
I think the accepted criteria are.
Play in red
An even number of titles in the last ten years (NB: 0 titles count as an even number)
No more than 2 titles in the last 10 years
Must have been founded after Manchester City
Must have supporters who have no concept of history whatsoever.
Must have supporters who are absolute bell ends.

Liverpool fans slagging off the world and his wife for being so petty in using a tragic world health crisis to suggest they shouldn't get their title if the league isn't finished

Then in their second breath demanding that the coronavirus issues don't delay UEFA's CL ban proceedings

Hypocritical self entitled cultist wankers

Never mind the ban being suspended.
If no domestic leagues get finished how do they decide who qualifies for any UEFA competitions next season?

Well, UEFA could decide there will NOT be any new competitions next season - just finish off this years unfinished ones instead.

Are we banned for two seasons or two years? They could mean quite different things depending upon how the end of this year's season is handled.

The official statement specifically said the seasons we were to be banned for

The Adjudicatory Chamber has imposed disciplinary measures on Manchester City Football Club directing that it shall be excluded from participation in UEFA club competitions in the next two seasons (ie. the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons) and pay a fine of € 30 million.

Interesting wording which, taken on face value, would exclude us from the latter stages of this year's competition if the matches were delayed and played during the 20/21 season as has been mooted as one option.
It does not, in any way, say the next 2 competitions, however that could all change either way as a result of our appeal. There is a good chance that wording at least will alter, and hopefully the outcome

Given the circumstances I'd be surprised if UEFA themselves don't offer to suspend it until CAS can hear the appeal.
Latest on CAS reported by Ruiters is that present CAS have suspended the 3 cases they are currently working on due to the problems presented by Corona virus and travel. In total they claim there are another 16 cases waiting none of which is City, therefore it will be impossible to investigate City before the June cut off for the Champions League for next season. So the there seems no way City will banned from next years competition
I would expect an announcement in the nex few weeks, UEFA could not risk imposing the ban before a CAS hearing due to the financial implications they would face if City were to actually win the CAS appeal.

I don’t think it is clear cut. The wording not say 2 years but that was the intention of UEFA. Courts in mainland Europe (and I don’t know CAS well) have a habit of endorsing what was the intention of a decision. For example, EU rulings have sometimes involved referring back to what was intended in the Treaty of Rome.

Our Club and many of our fanbase are opposed to accepting any sanction from UEFA. It will be interesting if that changes and there is some sort of compromise. I’m hoping not but we’ve seen how quickly the Real Madrid game sold out Vs the struggle to shift tickets for the rags semi final and the Sheikh and Khaldoon could possibly accept a middle ground if they think we are desperate for European football.

I read it the other way around. It's City's appeal that is in effect suspended so we are out of Europe now unless we do something.

unlikely.

if our appeal is upheld and we have been wrongfully excluded from the CL by UEFA they will be on the hook for tens of millions in damages. They won’t want that.

if our appeal hasn’t been heard by the time the 20-21 CL season gets going, we will not be excluded.

I don't think we will be excluded without a hearing but we have to get CAS to lift it. That was not our initial approach. I think we wanted a fast-tracked hearing. Now there seems little chance of that so we are going to have to get into a dialogue with CAS otherwise we wont be in the CL next season. All I am saying is that the effect of coronavirus means the ball has been put in our court now and we have to do something. I hope we already have.

There is also another scenario that could happen further down the line if football is suspended for a far greater period perhaps affecting next years leagues clubs with substantial wealth through their owners will find little trouble with their finances, however, clubs with no such backing or substantial levels of secured debt like our friends across the city may have to go UEFA to allow them to spend money that would put them in danger of falling foul of FFP ! They could plead these as an emergency due to the current crisis, if UEFA didn't grant this thr possibility of clubs going to the wall could see them getting permission. If that was to happen the FFP would be finished as it would be impossible to aduicate it in the future. This may seem far fetched but even a club with the finances of United would have trouble with dwindling income and reduced capital as their 500m debt would become crippling !

you don’t need a hearing. UEFA are incredibly likely to agree to it without a hearing. In any event, if they didn’t a hearing can take place by video or telephone link. It’s what the government are looking at here, in fact.

we have appealed, part of that process is a request to suspend the sanctions until the appeal has been determined. It’s par for the course for any appeal TBH. The club will be on top of this.
