Another repeat of people fleeing like they did in Northern Italy thus sending the infection elsewhere into the uk.

It could be interesting times. I have got some Malaria tablets from trips to India more than a decade ago. I need to check if they are the right tablets or not. I better not mix them up with the cheaper form of viagra tablets I also bought during those trips.

I has them as well when I was at in India for a year in the late 90s but I can’t remember what the tablets that were causing hallucinations and suicides were called - saw some girl really loose her shit on them in Goa and I remember going to the chemist and swapping them for Valium tablets instead - only in India :-)

Nobody gave a shit about those, it was considered a mild inconvenience by most people (no disrespect intended to anyone who lost loved ones over it)

Coronavirus seems to be treated the same way by about 40% of people still.

Plenty of people still saying “it’s only the flu”, I don’t think that’s going to age very well.

But seems like the penny is dropping with about 60% who are treating it with the seriousness it deserves. I’d say there was maybe 5% who thought of Swine Flu as serious as this.

That’s what I thought.

There was a 41 year old in Mexico today with the virus who sadly passed away as he was diabetic, I’m not sure what the numbers are on diabetics globally but I suspect there may be some deliberate management of some of the information being released on the age groups that were being hospitalized to try and contain mass hysteria at the beginning.

Schools are remaining open for vulnerable children and children of workers who have to keep working (NHS staff, bin men, food providers, teachers etc). We reckon we might have 200+ kids in every day where I work.

Unless we have to go into an enforced national lockdown schools will be open across the country.

Just got to work a fellow worker has said her son has woke up with with the sweats and sore throat but she has come to work.....its kick of big time with us saying she should be at home but she thinks it's not necessary....

Now that is serious - this fellow worker's boss should be called in pronto. If we were over the channel she'd be in chokey by now ...

Unfortunately no, i work for an Aussie manufacturing company.
I could my work from home but shopfloor staff couldn't

Schools will be closed in terms of kids not having to go there to learn. They will be open as effectively a baby sitting service so that key workers who are helping fight this virus and to keep the country going can continue to work
