Rumoured that some Premier League clubs are asking players to take a 50% pay cut!
Any guesses as to which clubs?

I was responding to the point that football wouldn't exist if we were reduced to the PL and half the Championship. It would, and it does in other countries where they don't have 4 professional leagues. It's been clear for some time that some EFL clubs have been living well beyond their means. Football would still be healthy (and might even be healthier) if we had two professional leagues with the current Leagues 1 & 2, and maybe the National League, being split into semi-pro (or even remaining as professional) regional leagues with far better financial regulation than currently exists. What has this got to do with English football?
Would you prefer that the other divisions collapse and fuck off Colin?
All that history up in smoke, it is hard to say what you are really getting at tbh what with the scant explanation in your one sentence post.
As for Spain, they have more than two divisions, they have Segunda B that has 4 groups that still get promoted to La Liga Smartbank( or also known as Segunda Division)
Italy has 3 - Serie C
For what it's worth.
I agree with you Colin, but what a national outcry that would be! Some clubs would want our money and be nice to us then eh?I was responding to the point that football wouldn't exist if we were reduced to the PL and half the Championship. Manchester City could end up seeing their UEFA sanction suspended, if a decision isn’t made by August 26th. If a decision hasn’t been made by then, ‘it is possible’ that City can ‘obtain an extension of the punishment’ and delay it
Ferran Soriano was confident that the appeal would be resolved by the summer, but now has ‘a better plan’. He intends to ‘legally demand’ that the sanction not take effect until CAS have been able to make a decision

That makes no sense? There's an exclusive in the athletic that uefa are going to relax ffp regulations in light of coronavirus crisis which makes sense but shows what hypocrites they are.
A bit like one can “legally demand” representation by a solicitor and a trial?Manchester City could end up seeing their UEFA sanction suspended, if a decision isn’t made by August 26th. Amen, there simply is neither the GDP, or population to support 92 teams and their associated personnel.
So they’ll amend and bend rules for the sake of other clubs to help them through this difficult time. But you can bet you’re bottom dollar we will be dealt with by the old rules which “we broke at the time”
