In some ways i am much better,this cough and breathless on exertion is apparantly quite normal,it is not like the not being able to breath at the peak of it,there is of course my general health making recovery difficult
The evidence from china is a bit concerning about lung damage when you have had it bad,i will just have to wait and see,it is not a month yet even if it feels like it,i have to go to the drs when the inhalers need replacing in a week or so as i am new on them so i will have a full review of my breathing then,thanks though

The daughter is a manageress at the local pharmacy and says there MAY be a shortage of ventolin inhalers, not because of a shortage of ventolin but because they can't get enough of the plastic housing that comes with them. Apparently they can't just give us the capsule and ask us to re use the housing

Only if they are effective and it's true if you've had it you have immunity and can't spread it. You can then start getting these people back out working in key areas and filter it down. More and more people can come out of lockdown, kids can be minded by grandparents and some semblance of normality can return. The problem is how do you know who has been tested? Unless they are given a clear card or something loads will just blag it.

This says it all. A private employer acquires tens of thousands of testing kits for its employees whilst the UK Govt is completely incapable of doing likewise for healthworkers. There is zero political will in the Cabinet to fight this. They just want to ride it out.

China started to lock down after 20 deaths and around 600 overall cases. I don’t think the west reacted quickly enough, given they can’t lockdown to the extent China can and still left it much longer in the cycle.

Yeah, but West (specially USA and last 2-3 days UK) politicians and media are trying to blame China for their slow reaction. I've seen a title on DailyFail today with words of one of your politicians that their secrecy was the reason of slow UK reaction which is utter bollocks as the seriousnyess of China situation was known back in January while the real outbreak in West happened in last week of February and most countries were still woefully unprepared and slow to react despite having more than 30 days to do a lot. And it's becoming obviously concerted effort to put the blame of slow reaction and wrong moves on someone else, in last 2-3 days there are numerous articles in Fail with similar tones.

Got a couple of friends working in the same hospital. Described wards as being eerie as no visitors etc. Doesn't sound like they are overwhelmed, though one's ward was only converted last week so may be populated once the others are full.

I know. But that was a batch of 6,000 or so. Little has been said on how effective they are, or whether they are related to the products coming out of the USA. There's a British version too. That's what I want the british press to do but they don't seem to follow up on the interesting questions. It maybe that PHE are leaving well alone for good reason, but let's hear why, otherwise people like me will think this is a potential way forward, and the UK Government will be seen as laggards.

I know the Daily Mail brigade on here are keen to blame the Chinese for everything but we've had months to ready ourselves for this and all we've got is let it be. Beatles did that in the 60s.
