The problem is, as I understand it, by asking people to avoid businesses like pubs but not mandating it as a state of emergency the businesses cannot seek redress under their insurance as its just a business risk. Also the businesses have bills to pay, workers too so where are the relief measures we are seeing being rolled out across Europe?
The Govt seems to be sidestepping the legal responsibility for the measures they are asking businesses to bear.
