Its dreadful but these kind of figures were going to come.

Perhaps its me but nothing shocks me anymore. Its clearly shocked some, its going to get worse I am afraid.

It is going to get to the point quite quickly where the numbers become more or less irrelevant, Unless people are personally affected then there is little comprehension between 15000 deaths an 16000 deaths.

There are some difficult times ahead.

Of course its horrendous but people should not be shocked as we`ve all been told what to expect.However if we reach the figures of 1000+ a day then thats when we need to get extremely nervous.

In the UK, on average around 1400 people die each day.

How many 'extra' deaths a die are occurring due to COVID-19? I wonder if there's figures on that.

Deaths per day is in line with the same time last year and actually a lot lower than the rate at the start of the year. Doesn't make good news though.

Dreadful rise in both cases and hospital deaths today. We're ertainly on the italy/Spain/France escalator at the moment.

Then again the figures in Belgoum an Holland are the worst there can be given their populatiovs.

I dont think anyone is telling you how to feel mate. I think some are more mentally prepared to expect what lies ahead than others or at least simply react a little different.

There is not a chance in hell that Covid-19 ends up with a fatality rate of 0.07%. (Flu being 0.1%)

That would be fantastic, but there’s not any evidence that’s the case. WHO has it at 3.4%, the CMO of the U.K. expects it to end up around 1% (still 14x more lethal than 0.07%).

Can't help think it's rather like making them wear a star of david in some way. Not my idea of a good thing.

Unsure how an opt-in version would be of much use. In China, the authorities were able to use it to order people to return to their homes when they could see they had strayed further than deemed 'necessary'.
