mo, if mass testing and tracing comes on line, then the lockdown will be eased but it might take 3 weeks or so for that to happen.
Medium term, and this is speculative, I think the American government may go for an emergency use authorisation for a vaccine by the FDA. I was wondering why governments can't bypass their own rules regarding vaccine development and there already seems to be provision for this in the USA and in the EU but this is just based on my own research as interpretation of 'emergency use authorisation'. Other people might like to look at it, and see what they think. Media seems to think that even if we have a working vaccine it still needs to go through very lengthy trials. I am wondering if it's labelled as a pandemic and it goes through Phase II trials, they maybe able to authorise its use.
If testing has it under control then this wont be needed but the next thing to worry about are places like India and Indonesia. Potentially that's catastrophic and on another scale from what we have seen.
Potentially good news is that tests in Iceland have shown that at least 50% of infected people are asymptomatic which has been hinted at before. That has good and bad implications, but a good implication is that immunity will be higher than we think it is.

They haven’t all been confirmed as covid 19 deaths as far as I can see. I would assume they will be checked and if confirmed at some point be added to the figures .The glascow care homes 13 patients have NOT been tested so they will not count,i said this would happen,you said anyone in a care home would be tested,back down now,i have had to ask you as you didn't respond when the news broke

Seems there is a bit of a head start which allows for skipping or overlapping testing, as the vaccines are based on previous vaccines they started on but lost interest in as they thought there wasn’t enough money in them. So could be slightly quicker, especially if we work together and not in competition with different companies and governments.I'm not sure about that. There was a great article on CNN about possible vaccine time and I doubt it can't be rushed anymore than around 18 months time. The idea to make it go ahead a bit is to start producing potential vaccines before they get approval so to not wait on production when it's done. Bill Gates yesterday said he will finance 7 fabrics for 7 different vaccine candidates to fulfill that idea.
There were some fuckups with vaccines before, one among them in the time of Ford presidency and it had caused loads of suing of government, because it wasn't properly tested and caused problems and deaths.

I run a pub.
Car park is cordoned off. People today ignoring it and just randomly hopping into it doing a daily run around.
I even had a group of woman who met and did a YOGA session on the car park.
I’m in a remote area so am surrounded by farm land etc, it’s walkers country out here and from what I can see, people are just blatantly ignoring advice.
3 times I’ve been down today to ask people to disappear.
The thing that pisses me off most, is that it is mine and the wife’s space now. We are lucky and consequently not going out onto the street, each morning we do 40 laps of the car park (it’s big) and often use the beer garden to sit out in, away from anyone else. We are constantly having to fight off people coming into an environment that is very clearly closed.
Perhaps they think the Zombies will be coming in hordes.

So why have the country not imprenented a more severe lockdown than attempt he moment I mean I get it that supermarkets remain open but does the country really need all these little tin pot foreign food shops open on every corner . Chemist and essential supermarkets and that’s it what should be open.The goverement do very much give a shit and anyone accusing them of not is a pleb.
