Gove is up

In londons admissions more stable others areas gone up masively(figures up later)midlands one of them

Must stick with the lockdown, remember the two young nurses who have died,7 in total front line staff have died, there families can't say goodbye, some have symptoms themselves, stay indoors

Clinical trials as outlined already

Ventilators of all types being increased, mercedes have produced a new device, been approved and we are buying a lot of them for non invasive ventilators, lots more coming in from everywhere, lots of different companies chipping in(well done businesses i say)they all have to be checked first, being delivered already

We must stick to the rules to alow time for everything to come on line

Some critisism is welcome and gov is acting on it,more info will be shared over all media, how to volunteer etc, parties are working together

Help farmers by buying local products

Me too. Went for my walk on the promenade today and just a few people about, mostly local dog walkers. Even the chippies are closed.

Somewhere on the coast,a guy advertising for tomorrow ice creams at his kiosk
People reported it to the council, they been in touch with him stay closed,or

We need antigen and antibody testing ramped up to ridiculous levels.
Just to German levels would be nice.

In mid-January, long before most Germans had given the virus much thought, Charité hospital in Berlin had already developed a test and posted the formula online.

By the time Germany recorded its first case of Covid-19 in February, laboratories across the country had built up a stock of test kits.

“The reason why we in Germany have so few deaths at the moment compared to the number of infected can be largely explained by the fact that we are doing an extremely large number of lab diagnoses,” said Dr. Christian Drosten, chief virologist at Charité, whose team developed the first test.

I run a pub.

Car park is cordoned off. People today ignoring it and just randomly hopping into it doing a daily run around.

I even had a group of woman who met and did a YOGA session on the car park.

I’m in a remote area so am surrounded by farm land etc, it’s walkers country out here and from what I can see, people are just blatantly ignoring advice.

3 times I’ve been down today to ask people to disappear.

The thing that pisses me off most, is that it is mine and the wife’s space now. We are lucky and consequently not going out onto the street, each morning we do 40 laps of the car park (it’s big) and often use the beer garden to sit out in, away from anyone else. We are constantly having to fight off people coming into an environment that is very clearly closed.

Borrow a fucking large dog or shotgun from your farmer neighbour

Doctor

Public moving around figures show people are sticking to the rule

Re inforced messages on staying in,repeated a lot

Cases up but more stable

Hosp admission rates for covid in london stable,up in other places though

Deaths continue to be high, likely stay going up for a week or two more

Questions

What will the gov do to make sure people stay at home?

By consent ,are other measures, police powers etc,beg people to observe the rules,it will work,we can save each others lives

Indications today people are staying in

By the end of may a losening of lockdown?

We are still learning ,this is a new virus, things will become clearer as we go along, trying first to get on top of the spread, that is critical, then we can talj about next steps

Any heart from flattening of hosp admissions?

Over days and weeks, reduction in infection, hosp admissions and deaths ,we are not at max effect from the lockdown yet, some hope but must carry on the same

Care home in glascow ? Not tested, their deaths will not be counted, how much higher is the death toll that we dont know abot?

We record deaths in hospitals and are starting to report about community, the death toll is higher

(Dodged the question a bit i feel)

Claiming universal credit?

Welfare system under review, people not able to look for work but many are volunteering

Is the money enough?

Constantly under review ,

How and when lockdown will end,how will it be done? Herd immunity? Antibody transfusions?

Depends on compliance, the more people observe it,no fixed date or firm plan, this is a new situation and fluid, much more how we manage the infections long term

Immunity one part of it,vaccines, existing drugs all important tools, need to learn about immunity as we go along

Are most people expected to get it?

See above answer,it is too early into a new virus to say

People going to testing sites, lots of red tape stopping people getting tested, what can you do about it?

It is for only nhs workers, gove will sort it out, thank you for reporting, testing being done at hosps as well

5g masts spreading disease?

Nonsense, rubbish, fake news, our emergenyy services need the masts to respond

I've had flu twice in my life and both times I was bed ridden for over two weeks. The first was in the late 60s when I was 14/15 and then just after I started work when I was 17.

The first time was during the Hong Kong flu epidemic, which was 1968-9. A young bloke near where I lived died from it even though he was a healthy 20 something labourer and there were tens of thousands of UK deaths. Is Covid-19 actually any worse than this type of flu epidemic?
Yes.
That's why the country has been closed down for a few months.
Spanish flu killed aound 228,000 people in the UK.
Hon Kong flu killed around 33,000 people in the UK. A vacine became available to limit the deaths.
If left unchecked around 400,000 people in the UK would die from Covid-19. There is no vaccine.

Selfish pricks.

How many pics did you get

More and more people flouting the rules again this weekend. Started noticing it on my way into work this week and it's getting worse and worse.

Someone on here told me it wasn't the case but it is definitely getting worse. Roads are busy, some parks are busy, some public spaces are busy.

Selfish people who can't stay at home, not even hit the peak yet!
